You have to apply a year and a half before you want to start school, so I'm applying for 2016. I'll get my applications ready to submit and then hopefully go out west somewhere to do field work with botanists/conservationists/that kind of thing. I'll probably earn a pittance but I'll get to spend my time outdoors someplace beautiful. So it's a long process, but I'm really looking forward to the gap year!

Basically same situation here - I graduated in December. Doing the application process right now, and have a gap year to look forward to (probably try to do something in the lab, I was at NIH last year). Good luck with the 2015 MCAT, I'm glad I avoided that
FWIW, if you've already taken most of the other physics, you can probably self teach the stuff you need for the rest pretty quickly.

Oh, cool! Yeah, I'm actually planning on taking the old MCAT before they switch tests, so in January. Which is kind of awkward because if I don't do well I'll have to study for a totally different test, but hopefully I'll just do well the first time

Well make sure you study a lot lol. I didn't do too hot my first time (28), but then I decided to really focus and scored a 35 on my second takeOh, cool!
