I saw my first imola ever on my drive to class! I'm in love with that color, it is gorgeous

I'm not sure the woman driving it recognized mine. We ended up at a stoplight next to each other and she eventually waved at me, but how else are you going to respond to a weird stranger who's staring at your car with a smile on her face?

Not nearly! Physics is on the MCAT, so I can't take the test until after this course, and then I'll be studying and applying this fall while I keep working in the Duke lab I'm in now. You have to apply a year and a half before you want to start school, so I'm applying for 2016. I'll get my applications ready to submit and then hopefully go out west somewhere to do field work with botanists/conservationists/that kind of thing. I'll probably earn a pittance but I'll get to spend my time outdoors someplace beautiful. So it's a long process, but I'm really looking forward to the gap year!

Basically same situation here - I graduated in December. Doing the application process right now, and have a gap year to look forward to (probably try to do something in the lab, I was at NIH last year). Good luck with the 2015 MCAT, I'm glad I avoided that

FWIW, if you've already taken most of the other physics, you can probably self teach the stuff you need for the rest pretty quickly.

Oh, cool! Yeah, I'm actually planning on taking the old MCAT before they switch tests, so in January. Which is kind of awkward because if I don't do well I'll have to study for a totally different test, but hopefully I'll just do well the first time

I ran into one of our YoungLife leaders last night. She is in the process of applying to med schools (~15). She said she did well on the MCAT and is so glad. She took the practice portion of the new one and it was very hard. She wasn't prepared for the psych and sociology questions. I think she said the new sections will add an additional 2 hours to the test also. No pressure :D

The new sections add 3 hours, actually, so it's 6 hrs 15 minutes. Rough! But it's still true that it doesn't matter at all how hard the test is, it only matters how relatively prepared you are. So there is hope for us!

I work at a local store called Andy's Market. Yesterday a gray sedan pulled up and today I saw a gray vert. There is also a black coupe that comes by every once in a while. Curious to see if they belong to any of you guys!
