    BC Racing BR Type Coilovers

I need new strut top hats (bearings). Appears those are not needed (built in) with these. True?

Are the strut mushroom protection plates still recommended?

    True

I didn't use the strut mushroom protection plates on my cars Shawn but you can I suppose. It wouldn't hurt

Thanks Charlie. These are looking better and better. Does anyone run them with the Strut Mount Reinforcement Plates. I just want to make sure there is room.

I installed the plates with my KW's. I would say they would easily fit with these BC's.
    BAV Stage 1 - BlueBus - UltraGauge - V1 - Orion V4's - ARC-8's - Brembo 996
    TTFS Engine/SMG Tune/CSL 255 - SGT Headers/Sect 1/SCZA - Evolve Eventuri
VIS XTS CF Hood - CF Lip/Console/Diffuser - OE CSL Trunk - BWS 500S 9k/11k

You should have no problems Shawn. The bolts are fairly long so you will have plenty of room to fit the reinforcement plates and be able to screw/torque everything down

    Hey guys.

Looks like BC does not do group buys.

Sad face I know. But my contact down here can still order them for anyone who is interested and the price should still be under 1k shipped to your door.

I got them overnight but I am close to BC's NA headquarters so I am not sure if everyone will get next day or not.

    From FCP:
"My name is Gareth Foley and I help manage the FCP Euro catalog. I specifically manage the BMW catalog but I also oversee many of the performance parts as well. I just added the adjustment extenders to FCP Euro. Thank you for pointing out that we didn't have them listed. The extenders can be found with the link below:

    Adjustment Extenders
    http://www.fcpeuro.com/products/br-s...ment-extenders

Anthony DiMartino from our sales department has already send you an email in regards to what you are looking for and he will also assist in any discounts if possible. If you see anything missing from the site please feel free to contact me directly to let me know. I am also happy to assist with any inquiries on coilover specs or custom spring rates. I run the BR series coilovers on my E39 and have done so for the last 3 years. They have been rock solid and I have put close to 30,000 miles on them since. I will also likely put them on my M3 in a few years as well.

In regards to the E46 front strut mount reinforcement plates I think you will be fine when trying to adjust camber using the included camber plates with the BR series coilovers. I know of many people who use the reinforcement plates with other styles of camber plates and they don't have any adjustability issues."
