I just don't see the use for strut tower reinforcement plates. Then again I don't track the car and I use a strut tower brace. Maybe those that do track their cars need the plates, but I would think that those people who do, also run a good strut brace anyway. At some point I would think redundancy kicks in to the point of being completely moot/nill.

This is why. You're trying to prevent this. This is my car. I know have the RRK and strut bar.

Highly recommended for vehicles with upgraded suspensions.

The E46 front strut towers are notoriously weak. This reinforcement plate comes from the poor road package and artificially adds another layer of metal to reinforce the strut mounting point on the chassis. If you drive with fresh suspension components at standard ride heights you likely won't have an issue. However, the problem can occur with performance suspensions and this is where these reinforcement plates can help you prevent expensive damage to your E46. Blown shocks and stiff suspensions will cause the sheet metal to pop up due to more energy being transferred.

I think for a GB, it should be priced better than that. $900 shipped with adjusters is more like it. I was quoted $995 shipped with adjusters from another vendor a few weeks ago.

I would much rather purchase from FCP, though.

BTW, count me in as being interested in a GB with FCP.
