What did you do for your ZHP/ BMW / MINI today? #2

what wheel cleaners do you guys use? id say probably my LEAST favorite thing is cleaning the ZHP wheels. i currently just use soapy water and a small sponge pad used for bug removal normally to clean the wheels/inbetween the spokes but it always leaves a layer of dirt/brake dust on the barrel in places you can't stick your hand.

products you use for cleaning/brushes/etc?

I use eagle1 all wheel and tire cleaner.

BMW wheel cleaner and old microfiber cloths is all I need to use for my cars….

Charlie and BP turned me on to the BMW wheel cleaner. Works pretty good. The spray bottle sucks though.
Otherwise, I use sonax wheel cleaner. Pricey, but works well.

Save the Sonax bottle to use with the BMW cleaner. It does suck as BP has told many of us--spot on.

agreed….the BMW Wheel cleaner bottle is a hit or miss but mostly miss regarding being able to apply the product adequately. The product itself is awesome though. Just as good as the Sonax wheel cleaner but close to half the price As Shawn said….just reuse the Sonax bottle when refilling it with the BMW wheel cleaner product

Whew, productive day on the little 3'er (e30)

Drained the coolant from the block, rotated the tires, Iron-x'd the wheels because they were caked in brake dust and I am fairly certain the Sonax wouldn't have done it.. Then I changed the thermostat and bled the system.

Oh, also put fresh fluid in the p/s system after I changed it twice to get the old dirty fluid out..
