Are these an easy plug and play on the fogs? Do they need lens changes? I'm thinking about updating my fog lights since I use them 3-5 days a week now.

OK good to know. I have the new intake manifold gasket sitting in a bag in the garage along with new water pipe and heater intake pipe. Just need to set aside a weekend day for it.

I believe it 9005/9006, they are the same for both, it doesn't have a notch in the new plug to differentiate the two.

Whatever bulb is in there you put that as the kit you want, it's plug and play from there.

Thanks John. So no of the other options are needed on the DDM website?

    Shawn,

For fogs you need the 9006 bulbs. DDM Tuning have them to sell. I'm assuming this is what you're asking for but if that's the case then go with the 35W kit. If you're retrofitting 55W for the main headlights then you will need D2S bulbs. The bulbs DDM Tuning sell are not the same quality as the OSRAM D2S bulbs but based on pricing they are fairly good bulbs. I have had them on my ZHP over 3 years now and I'm currently running 6000k bulbs (D2S and 9006) with no issues in light output

Thanks. That is exactly what I was asking. So you like the 6000k bulb over the 5000k as far as color? John recommended 5k--maybe there is not too much difference. And we don't need any of the other options like mounting bracket, harness, error eliminator or adapter cables, correct?

So far the higher the temp, the bluer/purple the light becomes.

I've found from my experience in multiple HID bulbs in reflector units that color is higher temp looking than in a project which controls the light.

It seems like my 6000K 9006 fogs in OEM reflectors is much more blue/purple than my 6000K in headlight projectors.

I have 4300K in reflectors in the family minivan which is just as white/blue as my 6000K in projectors.

Maybe HID bulb quality is a factor here. Not sure. Both 35 watt HID kits I bought are from DDM tuning and the D2S bulbs I use in my headlights are Philips Ultinon and OSRAM Xenarc's.
