The day has come.
Went to meet a guy about a basketcase ZHP, DIY wiring, bumpers hanging off, slammed and dragging, things not working. I have been working and waiting on this for 5 weeks, and honestly had big plans for that car as an HPDE rat. I traveled over an hour to his CU, and the deal fell through on his end! FAIL.
Called a guy that I had been talking with for the past month, finally got in range of a great deal (high 4-figures, woot!), met him, and pulled the trigger... So welcome the new addition:
Cons:
- No winter package.
- 2003, no premium package, i.e. no auto headlamps.
- Leather. Would've liked alacantara, car I tried to buy earlier in the day had alacantara.
- 3 or 4 scratch-dings that PDR cannot fix.
- headlight lenses pitted.
- higher initial cost, so mod plans have been set back slightly.
All in all, the cons are no biggie.
Pros:
- car is tight!
- clutch is great!
- records!
- 106k
- V12 Evos!
- stock right down to the chrome kidneys.
- steering wheel can probably be saved by cleaning.
- ok that I can't mod the crap out of it, because it is truly one amazing DD as it sits. I fell in love with these all over again on the drive home.
Even with the cons, the car is a solid 8/10 imho, and well worth the extra I paid over the mousetrap I was looking at.
