I am researching different paint styles of the exposed CF. Still debating what really stands out to me.
What are your thoughts about the exposed CF portion where the license plate goes on top?

This. The way your car was without the CSL bootlid was the reason your car is one of my favorites. It is just so... darned... clean.
The CSL bootlid looks good, but I'd paint is all silver (with the exposed CF exactly the way Sean has his in the above pics) to make it look as OE as possible while still adding that slight touch to it, since that goes with the theme of your car (the way BMW SHOULD have built it).
