    Motor mounts were shot, but before they exhibited symptoms, the motor was perfectly smooth even at idle. After they got replaced, I felt a tiny amount of vibration when idling, which went away upon revving the engine. I have since gotten used to it and no longer notice it, but it's there if I'm paying attention.

    Great werk Peter! With the new Bosch pre-cat O2 sensors, new DISA (last summer), aFe instake etc, I still have the 2800 RPM stutter. How much would a DME flash cost you and where are you looking at getting it done?

    i was talking with alex in montreal about it, apparently he's got the tools required! perhaps we can organize a group DME flash session.

    Have you tried unplugging the DISA to see if the stutter stops?

    i did, before i replaced the O2 sensors... no change. part of me thinks it has to be something other than the DME reflash because, well, it didn't start doing it until maybe 6-8 months ago.

    that's part of phase 2. i basically took on everything in the front end of the car (minus dampers) in phase 1... the car is backed into the garage now awaiting phase 2.

    i ended up doing stuff in phases/chunks because of time issues - we had a wedding to go to last weekend and i sure wasn't driving the odyssey. (my neck hurts after 20min of driving in that thing).

    I am in as long as he knows what he is doing (which I am sure he does). Just don't want to end up stranded in Montreal with a 'brick' lol

    yeah, there is an element is risk involved. but i think as long as you've got your bases covered (power, good cables, not rushing), it's going to be OK.

    the dealer offered to do it for me, for about 2-3hrs of labor. BUT they gave me the whole "we're not liable if something goes wrong" kinda thing.
