Technically yesterday, but changed the oil, changed the transmission fluid, changed the differential fluid, bled the brakes, and gave it a general once over in preparation for a trackday at Circuit of the Americas on Sunday.

Unfortunately, the trackday at COTA got cancelled due to the monsoon rains we were getting. To make up for it, I took her here on my way up to Virginia.

Can't believe some of you burn that much oil

Tell that to my car. Damn thing needs a quart every 1000 miles.

My BMW Tech Mech says it is natural for this type of engine to burn oil. It was how it was made. Which I agree. My E39 530i does not burn oil. Same engine. But different somehow.

^some do some don't. Mine burns about a third of a quart every 600-800mi I'm guessing.
I think the service bulletin says they "can" burn up to 1 qt very 1k.

are y'all using the stock CCV? i think it has a lot to do with that and how that affects the piston rings sealing correctly (especially when it's all clogged up). i used to use about a liter every 2000 miles, now i don't really use any at all over a 4000 mile change interval after my catch can/PCV implementation. car runs so much better, too.

I have spacers on, but I'm fairly certain I did a test once to see if they'd fit without the spacers. I remember them fitting, but just barely...
