PA Soft question: How do you clear a Service Engine Soon (SES) light? I was fiddling around with my sister's new (to her) car using PA Soft to reprogram the odometer from kilometers to miles, and then the SES light came on and has stayed on. I only programmed basic stuff in the IKE and ZKE. Would "Clear DTC" do it?

There are two errors I did find that might have triggered it unrelated to using PA Soft, a fault with an O2 sensor, and a misfire in cylinder 5. Both were marked but not currently present.

Yes clear dtc or if you go into the modules themselves you can clear each module individually.

not sure if this has been asked yet, but does any else's HVAC control unit come on at random temp settings when you turn it on?

about 50% of the time, when i turn it on it will set the temp at 26 or 27ºC - even if i had it at 21ºC (roughly 70ºF) the last time i used it.

not a major deal, but strange.

Mine has never changed unless I've done it myself.

Mine stays the same, although now when I run the defroster, my radio goes static...

I had a subaru that was flooded out and it did this :/

Could be a loose connection at the antenna. It's under one of the C pillars in the back. I can't remember which side.

It's a common issue with E46. The radio antenna is built into the rear glass. Over time, it shorts out, which causes the static when the defroster is turned on.

Unfortunately, the resolution is replacement of the rear window glass.
