I've only ever seen the weight as a reason.

Took My ///M out of hibernation today and drove it to work and back (54 miles) and enjoyed my very loud and improved car stereo

    LOL! no.

The tire shop was a little annoyed with me. The powdercoater's didn't cover the hub rings when they sprayed the wheels.

The tire tech came up to me and he's all, "these don't fit your car?" And I was like.... "Um they fit two weeks ago??"

We brain-stormed and decided to sand the insides of the rings on the wheels. Thankfully the guys at discount tire were cool about it. I called the powder coating company after and gave them a piece of my mind. Losers. Just happy it all worked out.

Other than that, they look amazing and should hold up well. Pics to come soon

It's somewhere in the GM5 module. I forget what it's called, but I do have the feature enabled on my M3

I've had really bad experiences with them. Always have to go back for a rebalance a week later.

At a different location, my dad had some style 68s refinished (not by Discount Tire). They scratched 3 out of 4 when mounting new tires.

I would have lost it if they scratched my wheels today. Sorry to hear that.

That's my nightmare. My wheels are getting refinished right now and I can't imagine getting them done only to have them gouged up again.

The powder coater is going to mount and balance my new set. I figured who better than the people who just put the brand new finish on the wheels to mount them up?

They will pay to fix it! And it probably also helps that one of my really good friends works at the one I go to, and he won't let anyone else mess with my car!
