As an aside, does anyone know the part number for the GruppeM intake for our cars? From GruppeM's website it appears to be FRI-0115 but I can't be sure

I believe the filter alone is RF-3301A

Can anyone verify both of those?

I think I looked for RF-3301A if I remember correctly...

    Confirmed it through GruppeM's website:

    330i/330Ci part number: FRI-0115
    Replacement filter: RF-3301A

This is more for down the road information, but if I'm replacing the upper and lower intake boots, what other parts would people suggest replacing while I have it apart (e.g. have an F connector on hand)? Also what other maintenance items could/should be done at that time (cleaning the throttle body?)?

I wouldn't replace the F connector unless it's broken. I would definitely clean the idle control valve and replace the grommet as well. If you don't plan to replace the ccv anytime soon then clean the throttle body as well, because you will have to remove the throttle body while replacing ccv...

agree...low mileage car, but while you're there, might as well check the DISA...easy enough to do

Lower and Upper intake boots, f-connector ( its dirt cheap ), clean iacv and throttle body, disa. And replace the little piece of vacuum hose that goes from the f-connector.

Cool. I figured I'd get an extra F-connector in case I snapped it since they're cheap, or maybe a metal one from ECS. Questions:
    • What cleaner should I use for the ICV, just any old carb cleaner?
    • Which grommet are you referring to (part number)?
    • What cleaner for the throttle body?

The CCV is another thing I'm contemplating way down the road, maybe the insulated "cold weather" version. I've been contemplating a catch can conversion since a lot of my drives back home are ≤ 15-20 minutes.

Yeah, I figured DISA rebuild with G.A.S.'s kit at some point in the near future.

Which hose, the small or the big one?

Beat me to it. I assume carb cleaner...

This is the grommet (not sure which brand to go with) -

I think I used carb cleaner to clean the ICV at the 2015 reunion...

Throttle body isn't something I'd want to take out multiple times, it's not that it's difficult it's just you can't really see everything down there properly and since you'll have to remove it anyway for ccv/catch can you can just do it then... also my throttle body was pretty clean at 102k miles when I cleaned mine so you should be ok...
