I just watched a YouTube video. It's pretty straightforward, nothing too complicated. The kit came with the car when I bought it but wasn't in the right packaging. All the pieces (studs and nuts) had BMW part numbers. The previous owner said he thinks he ordered them from Turner motorsports and this kit looks similar to that. Just make sure you use thread locker!

Yeah, I have the same problem. And it seems like the wet alcantara is easier to re-arrange into a rough pattern, or wears more roughly.

Finally got the intake on. It seems to add some noise when accelerating at ~2,500 and up. I thought I heard a bit of change in the exhaust, but maybe my sense of direction was off.

I have a AFE (Pro Dry) and once I hit 4200 RPM and above, the sound is awesome!

Yeah, fuel economy might be going down.

It's the regular silver cover for the stage 1 intake. It does stick out a bit. The silver paint on the strut tower also looks white (though a bit dirty).

Nothing to report. But I took the Marine Corps Day off to start my Steering Fluids and associated parts replacement. Priorities changed. Things started to fall apart in my home. Shelf the Steering Refresh for now.......
