Yeah when the light isn't sharp so the metallic flecks don't sparkle, the paint will give off an LSB similarity. Especially when you don't wash it in the winter. LOL

But once I add sharp light like stobes or the sun....

Might want to click on the pic to open it in Flickr to get a clearer shot. The BBCode looks blurry. LOL

indeed - with the metallic, and there is a hint of purple in there. it's really cool.

i dunno, LSB is more 'smurf blue' to me, it is a lot brighter, maybe almost with a hint of aqua. i love both.

The Le Mans blue also had a hint of purple in the right light.
yea the X5 was a maintenance nightmare But it had 360 HP, luxury, cloth interior, heated front and back seats, heated steering wheel, etc. 6000 lb towing capacity massive tires and a tail gate! The exhaust note sounded like the V8 engine over dub you hear in every action movie

This was the interior when we got it... you can't really see the blue in the cloth centers of the seats.

This was after I DI-NOC'd all the wood. The console was a bitch!

This was the BMW cargo liner. It covered every inch of the interior including the tailgate:

    Great for these guys

We also got the BMW cargo divider which was a heavy duty metal reinforced divider between the front seats and the rear compartment. It solidly attached to the ceiling mounts and special mount in the seats when folded down.

    Another shot of the front:

You guys can see why I always talk about how awesome this thing was...looking at these pictures makes me miss it all over again

yeah, the E46 Tourings have the same thing - pretty cool. the mounts in the ceiling are actually metal!

heck yeah, that thing is bad A. love it! but.... selling was probably a good idea if it was a maintenance nightmare - as you know, with babies/small kids, you've got nearly zero time to work on stuff. you're either working, changing diapers, feeding, playing, or sleeping. good times, though.

Make sure you're actually anchored in the metal or it'll rip the plastic out of the headliner and it'll never fit quite right again.

Edit: ask me how I know

Yep, that why we got the MDX... technology wise far superior to the X5 reliable as hell but not nearly as fun... at least its rated at 300 HP so it still has some balls
