What did you do for your ZHP/ BMW / MINI today? #2

Removed bunch of dents on three panels: both right doors and boot lid. It was done through BMW CCA. Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures before.
Next step would be a good paint correction.
Also, changed cabin and intake filters. Cleaned spare tire compartment. It was so dirty and dusty, especially after the welding of TMS plates.

I dropped a motor oil cap on to the splash shield.

And undercarriage shots just for Peter. The existing bump stops were a bit discolored but in great condition (so I reused them). I also put a fresh coat of undercoating in both rear wells, as the factory coating was looking every bit of 12 years old.

awesome, love it! what did you use for undercoating? i have something i use but am not 100% happy with it - always on the lookout for better alternatives.

It was just a Rustoleum rattle can. I figure if it lasts through hurricane season then I can look into better options down the road. It's a little grippy (I saw a couple grass trimmings had clung to it lol) but it seems to repel water very well.

I also made one of my rear trailing arms a guinea pig--I hit it with rust converter and a top coat of epoxy paint. It's something I read about when looking into subframe coating options. I'm planning on buying a used subframe, preloading new bushings, and swapping it in over summer, so I wanted to give this a 30 day trial of sorts.

Yeah. I had it done on my ZHP and had filmed some video and taken some pictures. Don't know where they are now. I agree. These guys are very talented.

i will have to post a pic of the job my paint guy did pulling The Deer Dent out of the left rear door of my montero... it was right in the crease of the huge flare for the rear wheel arch. it came out great.
