What did you do for your ZHP/ BMW / MINI today? #2

Took the ZHP to a body shop to get a quote on respraying the hood and fenders (not the bumper). $1350. It's a reputable shop in the area, but seems high. Thoughts? Going to take it to a couple more places for multiple quotes

Too bad u're not on PNW. I have a very good shop recommendation with a very good price as well.

That price sounds right. That's about what I got quoted as well by a couple of shops.

It's not the car you drive, it's how you drive it.

Tried (and failed) AGAIN to do some work on the front suspension. I'm really starting to have feelings of regret about buying this car. It's going to cost me a lot more than I'm ready to spend for someone else to do all this shit I was expecting to do myself.

Everything underneath is rusted and seized. And I discovered 3 different leaks I now have the luxury of identifying.

Are those new leaks, Spenser? And have you changed the oil since you got it?

I took the ZHP to my local guy to replace faulty OEM rotors that were installed back in November. They were vibrating heavily when breaking. It's nice that he didn't charge me for the parts or labor but considering I paid $1k just for pads and rotors all around in parts, I didn't feel bad. He also replaced the coolant/hoses/expansion tank and thermostat. $900 OEM parts and labor for that. Now she drives/brakes beautifully and is patiently awaiting a bath after this weekend's rain.

Oh, a few weeks ago I re-badged the car with the OEM 330i letters on the trunk. I know some ppl here are adamant about de-badging but I felt like the car was a bit misrepresented. I'm proud to have a 330i ZHP and I didn't want others thinking I de-badged the car because I wanted ppl to think it was anything other than what it is, a minty 330i ZHP that I'm very proud of.

PO debadged my car and I feel the same way. But instead of rebadging I am thinking of having a vanity plate something similar to "E46 ZHP"
