I got the mirrors for...gasp... $215 shipped with clean glass (meaning, no scratches, no browning, etc.). I got really lucky, which is the only reason I went down this path right now. It was a part out and I asked, expecting him to say "$300-350" just like everyone else. When he said "$200 plus shipping" I didn't hesitate.
I bought a can of paint for Nate and I each from automotivetouchup.com, and 2 cans of clear coat for $65-70 shipped. So I'm in for half of that. It took a full can for both mirrors. I used generic Duplicolor primer and black for the bases, so figure that was another $10.
They say wait 1 month before waxing, so I'm going to wait 1 month before putting clear wrap on it. I don't expect it to be as impact resistant as standard paint, which is why I'm going the route of paint protection film.
