Washed the Miata in prep for a for sale ad. I still need to clean the interior and take pics.

I thought the Miata was a keeper. What made you decide to sell ?

I think I diagnosed what's causing my car to be so twitchy and walk all over the damn place. Somehow both fronts are toed out. The right is toed out worse than the left, and it's (surprise surprise) pulling right.

I got the left back into "close enough" spec (using numbers I've pulled from what you guys have posted previously), but the right tie rod lockdown nut is stuck. I'm going by Firestone tomorrow to see if they'll break the nut loose and finger tighten it so I can adjust the toe at home. I don't want to pay for another professional alignment until after I do the oil pan gasket.

Firestone does lifetime alignments up here. See if they offer that for you as well.
$200 but you won't have to pay for another alignment as long as you own your car.

It's not the car you drive, it's how you drive it.

My father almost never drives it anymore, it takes up space, and he's looking to get an early '90s Toyota pickup as a winter beater. Basically, it'd be better served for someone who'd use/get more out of it.

Would that be a Taco, or an actual "Toyota Pickup?" I guess the T100 falls in that range too?

That's common with these cars, especially one that has seen salt. Don't be surprised if they have to use heat to free it up. If they do, your gonna want to paint that area because it will rust up real fast. Make sure you use anti-seize on the threads and you never have that problem again.

Finally got my front Koni FSD's installed, 5K mi. after I put the rears in myself. It's hard to find a decent shop here which will accept customer-supplied parts.

Half-way into a wash and wax, though half-way might be optimistic
