Yesterday I picked up the ZHP from the mechanic. It feels great to have the car in daily duties again!

On the way home, I received some nice comments from someone at a stoplight. That made my day!

Nice. I briefly drove a buddy’s Volvo for a few days. Cushy? Yes. Performance? See: cushy.

Today, the transmission got fixed. Apparently, the drain plug seal wore out and fluid started to leak. The shop also replaced the shifter seal as that was leaking as well. That said, I'm really, really happy with the shop and the quality of their work.

Hopefully no more leaks or issues for a while. It's been an expensive month.

Since the ZHP has been removed from DD for a week or two, it appears the car alarm has been randomly going off. After doing some research and checking the battery voltage, it appears the hood sensor may be starting to fail. Others have previously reported it. So, I have it disconnected and will be checking to see if the alarm goes off again.

Sadly to replace it, it is $45 :/

Yep! that's the problem... if you're not worried about somebody prying open your hood to steal random parts, just leave it disconnected.
