    What did you do for your ZHP/ BMW / MINI today? #2

    @PetesZ are you referring to the axle to diff E-Torx? If so I think I have some spares at my parent’s house where I’ll be this evening. I’ll happily put a couple in an envelope for you if you send me a PM with your contact info.

    No worries.

    First gear is my new favorite. Tire life will be dramatically reduced. A life well spent though.

    Cheapest way I’ve found to increase effective torque yet.

    Appreciate the offer. Bmw stealership will have 6 in tomorrow. Was worth the shot at the junkyard to try to do the event today.

    Finally installed something I’ve wanted for a looooong time; a 4-post lift...

    Friend of mine was selling it for only $750. Original price was $2500....Okay, that was 15 years ago, but still. 😉 He even drove it 2 hrs down from Vermont (I don’t have a trailer) and helped me set it up.

    This is so cool to have a lift in the garage! I am happy to hear that you got a great deal and help from your friend.
    Now wrenching on the car will be more enjoyable!

    I did an oil change today. Put in LM 10w-30 with ceratec. It took much longer than I thought it would. Nonetheless, I’m happy for doing my first oil change in about 13 years. last time I did one was on my first car, a 1990 Chrysler LeBaron. I give all the credit to this forum for motivating me to get my hands dirty.

    Totally. And it will allow me to do more types of repairs / upgrades on my own.

    Thanks! It was a long day Saturday to do the install... Drove 2 1/2 hours up to VT, loaded it on his trailer, 2 1/2 hours back, then 3 hours to install.

    Just barely squeaked the front posts under a low soffit too;
