Both. It’s a highly regarded shop, so I felt it was worth the extra wait.
My former boss hit my car in the office parking lot 2 days before my last day at the company (also 2 days before Florence made landfall so shops are overloaded). Ripped the bumper off, fender is dented in, headlight is broken, a lot of shit behind the bumper is trashed. Pretty sure he was checking email or something, but that’s just speculation.

Used the power washer to strip off the failing paint from the trunk. Top layer is mostly gone save for the parts that were badly over sprayed. The base coat is still there in most places but I'll be hand sanding it down.
You can see the clear coated carbon in many spots. The plan is to sand down to clear, polish it , then add a nice wax to protect it. The hood may very well be next.

Thanks. It was a big decision but the paint was beginning to fail badly so I decided go go ahead and bite the bullet. I'm excited to get it done though. It'll be nice to have the body back in top form.
