Drove it. Can't believe how good my fuel economy is with the manual vs auto.

    Oh I forgot...

Picked up one of these intakes again. This one fits better than the last one, but not quite sure why. Name: received_695048107581279.jpg

Did the rear brakes on wife's F30 '13 328iX. Pad warning came on last month - 45K miles, original BMW pads & rotors. Went with Zimmerman Z-coat plain rotors & Akebono ceramic pads from FCP. Was able to reset the pad warning light without issues - says we're good for another 31K miles!

Put my summers on my 330xiA, and swapped the all-season Michelin Premiers, which seemed pretty loud (so bad It sounded like a bad wheel bearing), to my 330xi 6MT DD to use them up (took off the APEX Arc-8’s with Toyo Proxes 4 Plus’s) . That eliminated the steering wheel wobble I was getting at 50-60mph but, strangely, I still get a pulse of wobble when I decelerate through 60-50 mph—nothing when I’m accelerating or cruising at that speed. I’m interested to see if the vibration follows those wheels/tires or if they just exacerbated an issue with my DD’s suspension (worn ball joint?). At this point, I'd have to guess I had a wheel issue AND a brake issue occurring at the same speed.

The Michelin premiers weren’t always so loud but, with almost 20k miles, they seemed to suddenly turn noisy. They’re not wearing too well either, although I'm not sure how much of it is the alignment's fault. The Toyo’s, on the other hand, are performing and wearing extremely well with the same amount of mileage (they look almost brand new), although that was on a different car. I love being able to swap components between cars...

Finally got around to installing an interior LED kit after my son did one on his EVO X. Such a nice color change and modern look. Can't believe I waited so long to get around to this.

I've been wanting to do this, but I want to retain the OEM warm incandescent bulb color.

Same, but finding LEDs in the warmer color range is hard. Ideally I want amber LEDs to match the cabin ambient lighting/gauge colors but that’s a tough find too.

Worst case, I'll order some LEDs from Mouser or Digi-key and swap them for a proper color.

If you find something, please let us know here.

*But I would add that once I had all my cabin lighting replaced with "white" LED's I didn't really mind the mismatch with the gauge colors.
