Myself and two age 22 mechanical engineers are going to be drinking beer in your town this weekend. They have researched the local celebrations. Apparently Frankfurt has an outstanding beer festival. We are on the way to Copenhagen and chose Frankfurt as our weekend spot while waiting to visit a testing laboratory in Aachen next Monday. One engineer is fluent in German (and gets himself in trouble easily) so it will be extra fun. If I see a sharp looking older 5 or 8 Series will tell my young accomplices, “Hey, I know that guy and he really does great BMW restorations!”

Very nice! I had no idea about that festival, not sure if I'll have time but I'd love to grab a beer with you.
I've been in Aachen couple a years ago, beautiful small town. You can only see a sharp-looking M5, others are in a state of disrepair currently, lol.
In other news, the crispy beast sprung to life. It's been sitting for 5 years in this very spot, forgotten n neglected. Changed oil & filter, fresh gas and pair of batteries and it fired up! Video coming soon.
