@fredo, thanks! So nice to have it. @MsRN, a bit better than stock but not good under track conditions from what I've read, still prone to fade under heavy use. If for track use, pick something else. For daily street and the occaisional auto-cross, they are fine (and they look great, lol). PS I was running BMW Perf Rotors but tough to find them and so far, I am really happy with these ECS ones.

It's not really the fade that's the issue, but instead the fact that the pistons on them are poor. They are known to crack and disintegrate with track use. I've had to put custom stainless steel pistons in them and ended up having to replace the seals twice on them prematurely in the short time I've had them, 'till I got fed up and sold them.

For street use they're fine and shouldn't have an issue in these conditions.

Just picked up a set of Ground Control Double Adjustable coilovers. The set had popped up on kijiji (moose version of craigslist) for a very good price back in June, but at the time I talked myself out of it. But lately it's been on my mind, so I figured what the heck, and sent the seller a message. We talked for a bit and was able to pre-negotiate a great deal pending close inspection of the parts. Met up with the guy today and the kit was as clean as described - all the spring perches turn without issue, nothing is seized, etc.

So, even though I'd already bought RS4s and Ground Control Street camber plates (man, my wallet hates me...), I came home with these. Just gonna include them in next year's car budget, and given I'll be busy with school in the fall and there's only 2 months left of nice weather I think I'll also hold off on installing them until next spring as well. I'm really in no rush to get these installed, as I also want to see what sort of times I can put down with the stock setup before getting these on.

Also, I need to buy springs - the kit came with 440/550 lbs F/R which means the rear ride frequencies are lower than the front, so I'll have to bump the rear spring rate up quite a bit.

Can't wait to see your car slammed all the way to the ground. That's why they're called Ground Control right?

Yeah, why do you think I checked all the threads on the spring perch? The previous guy ran them near the top, but I'm going to run them at the very bottom. Lower CG height = faster around turns, screw getting up steep driveways when you can just leave your car in the street

EDIT: Also got the M3 fuel pump baffle in tonight

So it literally just drops in? Plug n Play? Dang gotta get myself one of these too, I'm constantly driving with a quarter tank.

I also picked up a used bumper from a part out ZHP. First Mystic Blue one I've encountered so I was hoping the paint would be salvageable, but I think I'll end up having it repainted regardless. Can't wait to have a genuine MTech bumper that won't shatter into a million pieces every time it touches something.

Yup, just drops right in - actually it drops right in too easily, I was expecting it to snap in, but it sort of just sat loosely within the existing plastic walls inside the tank. Weird. But apparently that's how it's supposed to be.

Also, that front bumper isn't terrible, lol the paint is in better condition than mine

I might just use some aggressive compound and a wool pad and polish the crap out of the entire thing just for fun. There are also some dents, cracks and the underside is completely scraped off (your future with the GC coilovers) so filler/new paint is definitely the way to go. Low priority for now though. It's kind of liberating and fun to be able to plow through everything and crash into curbs with my current bumper.

lol that's why I didn't repaint my front bumper on purpose while it's in the shop. Since I haven't drove a lowered car in awhile, I figured that just leaving the driveway of the shop, I will fuck up the front lol
