Oooooh is that the racingdiffs conversion? I'll be following along to see how it stands up to long-term street & track mileage.
Nah it's a helical, but I definitely would have tried that spring plate if I was sticking to the 3.38.
I bought it like a year ago and let my eastern bloc transmission guy install it while he was swapping the input shaft on the 3.23 Z4 diff.

The seller's instagram is just loaded with videos of e46's laying rubber so it must be pretty stout lol

88k miles on the cats and you can have them for cheeeeep. It's a fun project that I think would pan out real well as long as you had 2.25" diameter exhaust pipes (or a single 3") all the way back. I wanted to run them into the stock 2" ZHP exhaust, which would create a bottle neck and screw up the exhaust velocities. What catback do you have again? Might be a good fit.
When I was working in my miserable job I would spend downtime planning car projects/looking for (and obviously ordering the shit out of) parts. I'm enjoying the transition to buy nothing, try to work through this pile of parts.
You also reminded me that I have their front and rear braces in the garage too, so I added those to the list of things to sell if anyone wants them.
NICE. You'll just need the means to weld them up and find a way to mate them to the midpipes. We can look at it when you're here and draw something up.
I made a damn mess of my secondary O2 sensors trying to stack extensions and such to fool the DME. Nothing worked, so I'm just going to code them out and plug the holes.
The S54 headers have ports for them though so you should be fine. Here they are with the M54 flanges. Text me if you want more pics and I can dig them out of the shelves.
