    It was just before the turn... red light came on, no power loss or indication of over-heating, and I made it to the house without further issues—less than a mile away, thank goodness.

    I highly recommend that anyone changing their oil pan gasket also safety-wire that nut.

    Stupid me did the oil pan gasket 4 years ago. I didn't even take a wrench to the nut to check it was tight! Full of regrets right now

    Tell me about it. I did my full coolant replacement. The only thing I did not touch which I figured back then was still good was the coolant pump. And it decided to crap out after 3 years. Trying to do short cuts. Learned my lesson.
