Once it comes out I'll get it to have the race skin, I don't care at all for the other skins.

Preorder pricing for id4motion's digital E46 gauge cluster was emailed out today. I was very interested, and understand there was a lot of R&D put into it, but the difference between the Standard ($1,100) and Premium ($1,588) options is almost $500 and appears to just be available skins. That's a 35% increase in price for some coding that's already done. That said, in the FAQ it says you can upgrade to an additional skin, so maybe they can be individually purchased.

Went on track today. Tons fo great people. I set a pretty competitive time (in my opinion), but my brake pads really lost the fight. I used to love the PFC-Z pads but I clearly have outgrown them. I could do 3-4 hot laps before the brakes would get super sad. I would have to cool down for 1-2 laps before I could give them a single push lap. One time after the brakes were fading, I did a cool down lap, pit, did a lap around the pits, parked in my box and measured the brakes temps at 460 Fahrenheit, yikes!

By the end of it, I quite literally melted the pad away. I came with about 6-7mm of pad and left with a nearly unmeasurable amount of brake pad. I will be changing my pads tomorrow. Other than that the day was fantastic

Yeah I like the PFC-Z, but only for the street. On the track, they do exactly what you described. I'm surprised you got that many laps out of them lol

I wish it was more customizable. Because I would totally make my own skin. Really, I just want stock, but digital and I can customize some of the blank space for other useful shit lol

In hindsight, maybe. But I was gathering all these parts back when this thing was a daily driver. One of those projects that I have to see through just because.

Come up with a Koni yellow set for the E46 that's top adjustable front and rear. I'll go post on my build thread so I don't get lost in the sauce.

Depending on price, I might be interested... not looking to spend $1500 on a cluster though.
