I did mine recently as well, I think I just used some grey permatex and dropped it in the cart when I ordered from FCP. Could also use the orange stuff as well, don't think it's that critical - just used grey so once it oozes out a bit it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb

This is the one I ordered from ECS Tuning along with my VCG, NGK plugs and DINAN coils. It worked perfectly.

A supervisor BMW tech mentioned something about Hylomar and it is Bluish RTV used by BMW. But do not recall the product brand and is a German name on it.

VCG and Secondary Air Pump service on my ZHP was completed yesterday after 6hrs of work

While I had the valve cover off I decided to give it a good cleaning, took my time cleaning the gasket seating surfaces on my engine and applied RTV where it was needed.

I noticed the previous time this maintenance was done no RTV was used. New nuts and rubber grommets were also used to replace the old hard ones.

All part of getting my ZHP ready for it's upcoming trip to Florida this summer

I'm sure this will happen sometime this year... since my recent maintenance, my ZHP has been very responsive and running solid.

What did you do for your ZHP/ BMW / MINI today? #2

Went to take the ZHP for a drive tonight and the battery light was on when I started it. We took the ///M235ci instead.

Voltage check running, when I got back home only reading 11.3 volts.

Looks like it’s time for a new alternator.

Could try to replace the voltage regulator first!

I'm getting a new rear set of Michelin Pilot Sport AS4 tires mounted and new OEM front sway bar end links installed this morning.

Drove 40 mins to Alameda to buy something off craigslist, and the guy stood me up. What is wrong with people?

Made lemonade out of lemons; the USS Hornet is in Alameda so I took a detour there and did a shitty impromptu photoshoot with my dirty car and phone.

Edit: guy called around 4pm saying he was so sorry and he had just woken up. He then rode to my place and dropped the part off then. Actually turned out to be a cool dude and he made up for it
