It's not that difficult depending on your options on the car.
There is a 10pin connector to the rear view mirror that is labeled. Pin 3 is power and Pin 10 is ground. Pin 3 can be tapped to a 12V ignition source for the optional homelink connector up in the maplight area. If you have SOS like I did, you need to depinn pin 4, 5, 6, 7 or else it will boil the Electrochromatic fluid in the mirror..
The mirror itself is going to be hard to find for cheap. it will be a rear view mirror with options EC/GTO/Compass. It's basically premium package E90 or E92 mirror. You cannot use a E93 one. I'm not sure on E60s because some of them have highbeam assistant in the mirror as well.

sorry I stand corrected. Ty for the correction. Here are my options from the factory. Though the bluetooth part is incorrect. The main important one is still ZHP
Today I ended up swapping out my ZKW headlights for AL headlights.
Couple notes: ZKW Lower mounting bracket is different than the AL lower mounting bracket. Nothing a dremel couldn't fix. The red portion is not present on the AL mounting bracket but it is there on the ZKW.
After swapping I am now left with a blurrier cutoff but brighter output on the floor.
No output pics, but I am thinking about swapping the ZKW lense onto the AL projectors now.

Got to install some hub extenders I purchased off Tom on E46F. His thread is here.

Overall quite happy with the extenders. They give enough lip for my ZHP rims to fit with a 5mm spacer! :excited:
I'm planning to run Thunderhill March 3rd so time to get cracking on some new stuff. :

Decided to fix my A pillars since they started to roll up.
Bought some from my local ACE hardware. Super 77 3M Adhesive.
Took off the cover piece, careful not to snap the clips to reveal the T-20 screws x 3.
Once I had them off you can see where they were peeling.
After spraying it and letting it dry its back on in reverse and no more sag!
now that's done, on to better stuff next week :D
