Wonderful getting to meet you Charlie and Botand as well. I'm super appreciate you guys making the triple all the way down here to pick up an interior that's insane and kudos to both of you for making it happen. It was very awesome to me to other amazing enthusiasts, They don't make them like that anymore [emoji1787]
I missed the seats already but I know they're in a good home now for sure take care of them and enjoy them. These OEM seats are getting really hard to find clean these days especially without chewed up drivers bolsters lol
Snapped a few pics while you guys were down here, my son was the photographer hah.

Shawn, this picture was EPIC! I'm glad you included this picture in this thread! Perhaps someday our paths will cross again and I will be able to spend more time visiting. I appreciate your hospitality Shawn! You guys are awesome!
It dawned on me that the day I picked up your interior for blauzed, it was also my 12th anniversary for my M3. How fast does time fly!!!
Of course I’m wearing my Mafia T-Shirt in the picture above [emoji4]

Great looking seats! Now you need to source or clean up the outer coverings for the seat bases. Good luck!

It's always good when sharing it with fellow forum members Rich. :thumbsup I have done 3 long distance road trips with Botond this year already :)
When you locate something unique that you want to incorporate into your build, you do what it takes to get it. This was the case since Shawn did not want to ship out his interior. I completely understood this so getting Shawn's unique interior was all the excuse I needed to make the trip to get them and also to meet an awesome enthusiast and see his project first hand. If I had to do this again, I would easily say yes... I would make the trip to get this interior again! :)

Any issues with fitment or keyhole on your SGT CSL bootlid Rando?

The SGT CSL bootlids are molded after the Scorza CSL bootlids with the sedan one modded to fit sedans. As for the keyhole that should be the same as the Scorza bootlid.
I had a Scorza CSL bootlid on my M3 and did not have to mod the key hole on that bootlid. Everything fit perfectly so I’m expecting no issues with the SGT bootlid.
We shall see however and if I have issues then I will document them here in this thread.

It should be Jacob. I know that the internal trim bolted right up on my Scorza CSL bootlid when I had this on my M3 before selling it to Sean when I got my OEM CSL bootlid...
Since the SGT CSL bootlid for sedan is somewhat based off of the Scorza CSL bootlid, I would expect the OEM bootlid trim to bolt right up. I will detail the process of installing my SGT CSL bootlid once it arrives in a few weeks...
I know Rando got the SGT CSL bootlid for vert installed on his ZHP. It would be nice for him to chime in on his bootlid to answer some of these questions...

No issues with fitment nor keyhole. The only things was that little plastic piece for the toolbox holder in the trunk broke, and it's a slightly different size than OEM.
And yes, we suck at meet ups in SoCal generally. We have had a few successful small ones but they are rare. There is a general BMW group that seems to do welll with 'drives'.

Soon I will be upgrading the suspension and installing Bilstein PSS-10s with Ground Control Camber kit which have been sitting in my garage since the beginning of March...
Next should be the SGT CSL bootlid for sedan install as I recently got confirmation from Mike Miggs at Status Grupe Tuning that my order will be ready for shipment soon...
Then I will be looking to install an AutoSolutions SSK into the ZHP this summer as well as a Wilwood BBK. Lots going on with the ZHP this car season....
The delay in installing the coilovers is because this upcoming weekend I am refreshing the brake system on my Porsche with new rotors, brake pads and caliper hardware...then once I have that sorted I can put the ZHP into my Porsche garage and start focusing on mods....:cool

Great call on the PSS10. Not sure if you care or not, but I have a buddy who is a suspension freak. And when I say freak, I mean he looks at suspension geometry, ride frequency and etc. He is actually looking into what spring rates I would need to achieve a "flat ride" frequency for the E46. (For those that are interested, please watch Fat Cat Motorsports video on flat ride: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zpax2pMDGdw). Over the counter kits work great, but dialing in the suspension with spring rates to match the valving is just amazing. Once I get some info from him, I'll be happy to share that with you. We might get lucky and Bilstein has the proper spring rate, might be where we just need to only change the front or rear.
Look forward to some changes to your ZHP though :)
How long have you owned the car now?

Got to see what's going on with all these COVID restrictions before thinking about flying out anywhere these days.... it's not like the pre-COVID days where we could just fly out without having to worry about catching some serious virus... those days are gone unfortunately...

Thanks! I rescued this ZHP from it's previous owner in July of last year so that makes it 10 months of ownership for me now. If you look at the first post you can see I have done a lot to this car in the short time I have had it.... with more to follow...
Sweeet share the info with the suspension once you get it
I have the new suspension sitting in my garage in it's box. I purchased my kit from FCP Euro
https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw-pss9-suspension-kit-e46-gm5-8036
The Ground Control Camber kit came from Sockethead here on the forum so they will be incorporated into my coilover kit and then installed.

Right now with maintenance I have currently planned I am figuring I will start on my ZHP in two weeks. Once I begin the process of setting up my new coilovers to the Ground Control Camber kit and install them into the car, I will document the entire process from start to finish. I have always wanted Bilstein PSS-10 coilovers but admittedly, too cheap to pony up the coin to purchase them. Not this time :)
As much as I have been hearing from Botond over the years just how good these coilovers are for our ZHPs, it's about time I find out for myself ;) I'm looking forward to removing these cheap $300 coilovers Tyler installed before I rescued this ZHP from him. I still have lots more I want to do for this car before I am totally satisfied.... but then that's a deep Rabbit Hole and I realize that I have already jumped into it and am free-falling.
There will be lots more in store for this gem :)

I just want to make it clear that I don't really know much about suspension. I bought 'em, and I love 'em. That's all I know about suspension. lol
And lifetime warranty mattered the most to me because I drive a lot, so that really restricts what I can buy.

Steering wheel trim M-badge part number
32-33-2-226-479

To fit in the E46 M-Spoke steering wheel trim you need to separate the M-badge from the plastic spokes (see pic above). The M-badge is affixed by some double sided 3-M tape. Just be careful not to scratch the backing of the M-badge when removing it from the plastic posts.
The steering wheel trim does not have holes in them although you can drill the holes so that you can mount this badge as is I suppose.
https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210519/38730a0b1867cf8191e94644a94085ae.png
I put the new M-badge over the existing one so you can see they are the same size.

You can get this part from ECS Tuning (this is where I got mine) and it says this part does not fit. it is true, if you keep the posts on however if you remove the post like I did, this part fits when you remove the old M-badge and install the new one. At least for those of you who are looking to replace the worn scratched M-badge on your steering wheel trim, you now have a source if you need a new one. :thumbsup

very simple, only PITA is you have to CUT OFF the plastic securing pins on the underside of the OE seat backs. once you do that, simply push down on the seat back and it slides off. slide the new seat back on, push a new OE single use plastic pin in and its done.

Them sexy !!!! Was it a simple swap?
Very simple. Take off the two bottom plastic plugs (won’t be able to reuse them) then push panel down to take them off. It’s that easy[emoji1419]
https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210519/fec9478cbfcd987a5aa0ebd73bed8507.jpg
Then you take the new panel, line it up to the guides they slide into and push up while applying pressure to the panel to keep them in place then push in the new plastic plugs to secure the panel. That’s it[emoji41]
One thing to stress though… before you push the plastic plug in, make sure it is lined up to the metal plate it is supposed to secure itself to or you end up wasting that plug. I ended up wasting two plugs working with the passenger side. Good thing I ordered two extra plugs[emoji4]

you can order the plug separately and save yourself a lot of money in the process. Don't order that kit just to get the plugs when you can spend less than $15 to get all the plugs you need to do the swap.
I ordered mine from FCP Euro
https://www.fcpeuro.com/Parts/?keywords=52201964201
going this route you spend $ 0.73 ea for these plugs...
I got 6 of these and ended up wasting two because I got too impatient to get the passenger's side installed....

how often is it recommended to replace the fuel pump? just do it upon failure or as preventative maintenance after so many miles? There is no set interval.
They have a wide range of failure mileages. Some die at 100k, others over 200k, some anywhere in between. My ZHP's died at 191k and the touring at 142k.

I go with 120k intervals based on when my M3's fuel pump had failed on me. Since I was taking my ZHP on another long-distance road trip today I did not want to leave it to chance so I swapped mine out yesterday[emoji57]
I'm on I-64 East heading to Norfolk when I decided to take a break from driving. Traffic sucked, especially just south of DC and I'm expecting the same parking lot when I hit the Hampton Bay tunnel. There are so many people in their vehicles today!!

Yep, Ronald is awesome to talk to. What's different in Gen2?
Hieu, Ron told me that the Gen2 has a relatively major upgrade to the the offset selector rod. This upgrade includes a larger more rigid pivot and ergonomic changes. The current shifter follows BMW performance ZHP shifter's ergonomics which Ron said he disliked for a long time. As a result, he built a new shifter, the Gen2, with updated ergonomics and larger pivot boot in May and supplied a few to selected shops and users. Based on feedback he got from these shops and users he's ready to provide the Gen2 and I was offered the choice so I went with the Gen2 for my ZHP.
I looked into the UUC EVO3 SSK however there was no correspondence from them and Ron's communication has been excellent and comments from those of you who went with the AutoSolutions kit was more than enough for me to pull the trigger to get Ron's product. Today's phone conversation with Ron sealed it for me and I'm glad I will be getting the Gen2 for my ZHP :thumbsup

There is always this possibility Jacob. I would rather censor this part than be sorry later on...
On another note... my ZHP was equipped with BMW Assist and came with a manual (non-Autodim) rear view mirror so I sourced a BMW Assist/Homelink Autodim rear view mirror as an emergency spare for both my M3 and ZHP in case it is needed. Both cars came equipped from the factory with BMW Assist.

Yeah, I read somewhere (either this forum, or on the fb group) that there is a service on ebay where you send a picture of your key, which is then pre-cut for you. All you have to do is programming. So you can cut just based off pics!

Yeah, I just can't order the 2X Clear right now since I will be at Colorado on vacation by the time the clear arrives so I will wait to order this for when I get home. I still have lots of prep work to do on my M3 side mirrors before they are ready for paint anyway... removing a few rock chips and getting the mirror housings smooth for paint... still lots of work left to do on blauzed. I still have my Bilstein PSS-10s to install. I have been working on my cars way too slow for my liking this year.... not sure why...
Omg I just realized that ships from Quebec! I'll keep this in mind if I need to order another can this summer :like

not sure where you will source different caliper carriers for your BMWP calipers... Rallyroad?
Love those brakes!
I don't have any experience using Wilwood calipers so this will be my first time but for ZHP power I'm sure this kit will be more than sufficient. I'm used to BREMBO GT series BBKs which my Porsche has from the factory and what my M3 has... and those brakes really grab. Looking forward to installing these badboys on blauzed! :cool

I'm spoiled by having the Brembo GT BBKs on my M3 and the Porsche Turbo BBKs on my 997.1 turbo. They are world-class braking setup and perform very well. I am curious to see how well the Wilwood BBK for my ZHP will perform compared to my Brembo setup on my M3 and Porsche...
To be perfectly honest Will, I am curious as well. Once I have everything set up on my ZHP I will post my thoughts and thanks for the compliment on my project :)

When I take delivery tomorrow afternoon I will be taking pictures of everything in this kit. From my understanding the seller got this kit directly from UUC so my understanding is that it is supposed to be "plug and play" just like my Brembo GT BBK was for my M3. Only additional thing I had to do was trim the brake dust shield so that the calipers would fit. That was it.
More to follow obviously... stay tuned ;)

San, that Wilwood BBK for 330i kit I got came from the UUC website. It comes with the necessary shims and mounting carrier for the calipers. The kit comes with instructions on how to install them on to the car.
http://store.uucmotorwerks.com/super-performance-brake-kit---wilwood-superlite-four-wheel--e46-2001-2006-330icixi-only-p533.aspx
The kit I got comes with four 1 piece slotted rotors and black 4 piston calipers. The rotors are 325mm. The kit ordered from the UUC web site is for 2001-2006 BMW E46 330i/Ci/Xi/ZHP ONLY
It comes with everything needed to install these calipers and rotors. You have stainless steel braided lines, DOT4 brake fluid, machined caliper brackets, brake pads, shims and bolts.
I have to say the Wilwood calipers are of excellent build quality[emoji41][emoji1417]

I was reviewing the procedures UUC sent with the Wilwood BBK and noticed part numbers used in the procedures for the calipers were not matching the actual part numbers on the caliper boxes so I inspected the calipers in the kit and noticed the difference... front calipers using larger caliper pistons and rear calipers using smaller pistons... easy to figure out...
Front calipers

https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51332974738_8d19b6e4fe_k.jpg
The procedures require me to do some cutting of the brake rotor dust shield and shaving of the carrier mount so I have a few things to get before I tackle this project. Once I start, I don't want to be stopping just so I have to run to Home Depot to get something...

Keep in mind San that the mounting caliper brackets for the Wilwood calipers come as part of the entire kit for the UUC kit. UUC won't sell the caliper brackets separately as far as I know but you can send them an email and ask. I guess it never hurts to ask, right? Good luck! :thumbsup

I got confirmation from the owner of Status Gruppe Tuning today that my CSL bootlid for sedan is getting delivered to me sometime this afternoon. The hard part is waiting for the delivery truck to arrive since my bootlid is boxed and secured on a shipping pallet. I'm hoping the bootlid will arrive intact and undamaged.
This bootlid is different from the other sedan bootlids because it does not have a trunk handle just like the OEM CSL bootlid doesn't. It will be similar but different being it is for sedan fitment.
I am looking forward to having this bootlid mounted once everything has been checked out[emoji41]

Steve, as far as I know with the Wilwood kit, there's minor grinding of one of the caliper mounting points on the car and then cutting of the rotor dust shield to allow the Wilwood calipers to mount and fit then that's it. As for the wheels? The stock 18 inch wheels (Style 135's) fit and that's all I am concerned with since that is what I am using for my winter setup and next summer plan to use my 19 inch BBS CH wheels for summer time usage... can't help with the 17 inch wheel question, sorry...
I know BP uses 17” wheels and has wilwood calipers but I am not sure if they’re the same calipers as what Charlie’s.

The one thing that separates this bootlid from the OEM CSL bootlid is that the entire back is smooth... there are no horizontal lines like the CSL bootlid has. That's because on sedan the horizontal line won't match up with the top of the tail light like they do for coupes... you can see what I'm talking about by looking at the OEM CSL bootlid installed on my M3 below...

Funny thing fredo is that I have not shined it. I used detail spray to clean the surface, that's all. Tomorrow I will apply some compound and sealer then a coat of ceramic based wax to keep the carbon surface protected.... is should look pretty good but eventually I will have this bootlid painted Mystic Blue... This is my 4th time swapping out bootlids. Twice on my M3, first the Scorza CSL carbon fiber bootlid and then the OEM CSL bootlid. I helped install an OEM CSL bootlid on my friend's Comp. Pkg M3 and now on blauzed ;) so I didn't need any DIYs to do this. I did this pretty much from memory...
https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210729/6b951138bed83e49bfa6acf3a6262111.jpg
my OE bootlid removed
https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210729/a8a108d1367a2d28096ab2125305f786.jpg
discovered I was missing this hole on my new SGT carbon fiber bootlid [emoji53]
https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210729/8fe53dec0ebbbd01823ff6a5485504e8.jpg
I figured out where I needed to put the hole on my new carbon fiber bootlid so I used my dremel to make this happen
https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210729/0498e2a5e3b23dd200406295bb5d4573.jpg
installed, fitment was spot on [emoji41]

The carbon fiber weave looks awesome [emoji41]
The lines of the SGT CSL bootlid matches perfectly to the lines of my ZHP as shown in the picture below :cool
https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210729/77ea1432d37e37579b43ea12cd369af6.jpg
Lots more work still need to be done on my ZHP but I'm finished for the time being... Brett was a huge help and all I have left are little adjustments and items to install before it's a wrap. Then I can take a few high res pictures of my work ;)
The fitment of this SGT CSL bootlid was excellent for an aftermarket CSL carbon fiber bootlid. YES!! I can easily recommend this product to anyone who would be interested in buying a carbon fiber CSL bootlid for their sedan! [emoji1687] Just be aware of the long wait time as this product is made in another country and shipping times can and most likely will be delayed as in my case. I waited about 5 months from time I placed my order and paid for my product to the time I took delivery of it. Fortunately I know the owner of SGT and have always had a good experience buying from him so the delay in shipping did not bother me. I knew he would take care of things and he did :thumbsup

No, ARC-8 offsets are fine on their own. This is for OE Style 68 wheels which have the high factory offsets.
12mm spacers are accomplished by rolling the fenders.

Thanks Rich! I will get my bootlid painted in Mystic Blue to match my car's color and then the plan is to leave the center top lip in exposed carbon fiber with the sides being faded to the color of the car. Same thing I had done with my Scorza CSL bootlid that I sold to Sean. It will be very subtle but should look amazing when complete. I will then source glossy black 330i badging to place on the bootlid to finish my bootlid install. I will then need to source a carbon fiber rear diffuser for my ZHP.... that will be next :)
This weekend will be my Wilwood BBK install then after that I'm planning to get my Bilstein PSS-10 coilovers and Ground Control camber kit installed. Lots of love going into blauzed this car season :cool

Yeah, I saw the curvature of the bootlid... I will have to toy with the OE roundel and see if I can use the heat gun and "bend" it slightly to fit the curvature... I think that is what you have to do...

I started installing the front Wilwood BBK on my ZHP this weekend. The biggest difference between mounting this kit and the Brembo GT BBKs on my M3 other than the price for the kit are the spacers the Wilwood kit comes with to mount the caliper and caliper brackets.
There are more adjustments needed to get the caliper installed with the Wilwood kit so they are more a custom setup rather than plug and play that the Brembo/Stoptech kits are.

The front kit has been installed and bedded in. Botond provided assistance with helping me install this kit and he bedded in my brakes. All I have to say is HOLY SHIT!!!! They bite stronger than an Alligator Snapping Turtle!! WOW!!! I'm very impressed by them and this is just the front kit!!
Pedal feel is very firm, much more than the OEM setup and more than the BMW Performance kit I had on my first ZHP.
I can't wait to get the rear kit installed now![emoji57][emoji57][emoji57]
If you're even on the fence on getting this kit for your ZHP I can say this kit is money well spent! It is not a plug and play kit like the Stoptech or Brembo GT BBKs are but so much cheaper for what they provide.
This kit is more a customized kit put together by UUC who include their own caliper brackets to mount to the OE caliper mounts. You get a bunch of washers/spacers to use with this kit and at times can be frustrating to set up because the instructions I got with my kit regarding placement of washers and spacers did not work. I had to figure out how to set the caliper bracket and caliper with the spacer/washers before coming up with a workable setup that finally worked.
You end up spending a lot of time figuring out how to set up one side but then once you do you repeat the same setup on the other side and it goes very quickly.
The setup is solid and I feel good driving this car and look forward to completing the entire setup so I can start looking forward to installing proper ZHP coilovers [emoji57]
As always thanks Botond for lending me a hand and providing good company that only a true and good friend can provide.
@ Colin, I am glad I purchased this kit from you. I know it has been a long time coming and I can't wait for you to check out my ZHP the next time you're in my area. I will want you to experience this upgrade yourself :thumbsup :)

San, as much as I hate to say this I would go with sourcing the kit so you have everything including the caliper brackets which are custom made to work with our cars... when compared to other big brake kits (Brembo and Stoptech) you end up paying a lot more to have them on your car as compared to having these Wilwood brakes. It was frustrating trying to find the right setup to get the calipers to mount so that the rotors would spin with pads installed whereas if you spend a considerable more for the Brembos and Stoptech kits they would be plug and play. On the plus side is that if you ever have to replace your calipers, they cost less than $150 to source...

Thanks guys! :thumbsup Yeah Will, the Wilwood BBK turned out to be a pleasant surprise when Botond was bedding in the new pads. They clearly outperformed the stock 330 calipers and look so much better. I just need to get the rears done and, weather permitting, will plan to start installing them over the upcoming weekend.
I will also plan to reinstall the proper side skirt on the passenger side. One of the previous owner/s chose to install the wrong part on this car so when I ordered the replacement side skirt to replace this wrong part, even BMW had ordered the wrong part initially and I had them reorder the part again to make sure the right MTEC II side skirt was ordered so I don't think the wrong part was intentionally ordered however the previous owner (whoever it was) should have known better and had the right part ordered (SMFH)... anyway I'm just fixing one of many screwups regarding care and maintenance of this wonderful car... she's clearly work in progress ;)

Good enough for a rattle can job! I've been noticing that my right rear quarter panel right behind the door has a bad colour match. Can't complain since it was part of the free rocker panel replacement. In my case it's worse in pics than real life... annoying but I'm just going to leave it

Thanks! Like I said, eventually after getting all mechanical issues fully sorted on this car first and upgrading component/systems as I go along... when I get to the cosmetics I will be looking at doing a full repainting of this car. I have a feeling that alone will run me close to another $10k because I will want to make my ZHP perfect.
I realize it does not make any sense to be putting all sorts of money into a high mileage daily driver like my ZHP but I really love this car and feel it deserves the TLC to keep her looking and running like new... for me it's not about how much I can get for selling a car like this... but rather, how far can I take a car like this and have it set up perfectly and looking like a brand new car again... it's about the journey for me...
Are you planning on getting agreed-value insurance? With enthusiasts like us who have put more into our cars than we've purchased them for, it's something I want to look into when I move to US. I have had a couple accidents and both times had to fight not to have my car totalled. It's especially worrying with a high-mileage car since it's just a "crappy old BMW worth nothing" in the insurance company's eyes

Resprays aren't uncommon back in Europe, even non-enthusiasts will opt for them because paint is just a wear and tear item like all other mechanical parts on a car. $10k is too much though, if we are just talking respray in the existing color with factory level quality, I'd be looking at the $5k region.

There's a huge thread on this in NAM3F and unfortunately it seems you cannot have an agreed value policy on your only car, but that's with companies like Hagerty or Grundy. When the time comes I'll see if regular companies like State Farm can do that.
If not I may just pick up some $2k beater so I can get that policy on my car, and added bonuses are a car I can drive without worry if needed, and my parents can use it if they visit.
Haha moose insurance is a lot more expensive, but our coverage is a lot more. Quite frankly I'm surprised at the coverage - 300k liability is considered high, whereas 200k is the legal minimum in Ontario, and most people including myself have $1M. When I got my car at age of 18 I was paying $320/mo, now I'm down to $120/mo for full coverage. Drivers also aren't great here, in fact my neighbourhood is known to have one of the worst drivers in the Toronto area

This is true and once I have everything done I may look to get agreed-value insurance for all four of my cars... the problem with insurance companies is that they all are a scam!
They are in the business to make money from their customers so in the event you get rear ended by some dumbass teenager texting while driving, we take a loss on our cars because of current value vs cost of repair.
I went thru this BS with my M3 a few years back because I tapped someone's car, caused $600 damage to their car and on my M3 I had to replace a passenger headlight assembly, front radiator support, and a hood. There was also some damage to my bumper which would be part of all this and the cost of all necessary parts (hood, front radiator support, and passenger headlight assembly) as well as repainting of the hood, fenders and bumper would have totalled my M3 due to mileage (181k at the time of the accident) so I kept the insurance out of it and did all the repairs myself out of pocket. Did it hurt? Hell yes it did because my insurance rates went up and I had to pay out of pocket to fully repair my M3... but I kept it from getting totalled and having a salvage title as well as having to deal with buying my car back... I did not want to go thru those headaches.
- no worries on derailing my thread :thumbsup
You will love the SF Bay Area :) Beautiful! Derek (Derbo) is in this area as well as a few other enthusiasts... lots of awesome opportunities for photo ops with your car. Jelly.....

When I repaint my ZHP I will be looking to have the hood, doors, side skirts, front and rear bumpers removed and have the car properly prepped and repainted... the rear driver's side door has damage and poor repairs on it so it looks like either a door replacement or replace the door skin.... that too will add to the cost but I want to have this car done right without any taped lines showing... all this requires a lot of work and will end up costing a pretty penny but to me it will be worth having my ZHP back to pristine condition no matter the mileage...at least this is my goal...
Then there are the Style 135 wheels... yes, I will either have them replaced or reconditioned back to brand new like condition... as heavy as these wheels are, they still look the best on the ZHP to me. :)
Do it, not sure how Moose drivers are but US drivers something else, that's for sure.
Ain't that the truth!!!

I drilled the two holes for the Roundel to slide in then I applied a few layers of 3M double sided tape on the back of the roundel so it would stay on the bootlid. So far no issues...
Ooooooh man I feel like it'd take me 20 minutes to make the holes. 18 minutes of checking they're level and 2 minutes of actual drilling :rofl

I drilled where the dimples for the holes were and then inserted the Roundel w/o the double sided tape on it to see how it lined up. It looked good so I then applied the tape and mounted the Roundel as you see in the pics. The process of drilling the holes took me 5 minutes :)
It took me longer to apply the double sided tape on the Roundel. [emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787]

I've seen various videos, but the real trick would be to get it for a manual car. As far as I know (which is only a few quick google searches), the shift lights were only ever easily code-able from the factory for the SMG transmissions, not the manuals, so there's additional coding to be there. What I really like is that the shift lights turn on not based solely on engine RPMs, but also the rate of acceleration which I would imagine (using my pea brain) would be tougher to code.

Then once the cabling has been threaded thru I will reconnect the Fakra connector and attach it to the SIRIUS Radio module in the trunk to complete the connection [emoji41]

Today was a perfect day to work on my car so I finished mounting my new Satellite Radio antenna and routed it thru my rear deck shelf center child restraint bolt hole. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210828/4df554923208a56e10af020c2fbef876.jpg
You can see the old radio antenna in the foreground as it is set aside...

I then made the connection to the radio module in the trunk. Nice to have the proper Fakra connection [emoji4] I will sort out the antenna wiring later...
