Cranking away at 58,2XX right now I think.

I am loving the Corsa exhaust with the windows up. I also really like it with the windows down on an open road. However, trundling around town which is a good chunk of my driving, I think it's a bit much for my tastes, too "look at the auditory version of truck nuts!" As of right now I'll probably keep it until the spring and then remove it and sell it, but my mind could easily change.

Yes, mystic blue over black leather 325i with a 5mt and m-tech II front bumper. The owner went a bit overboard for my tastes by replacing every single roundel with an Alpina badge and Alpina shifter and then put the little rectangular gel ///M stickers on the wheels. The Alpina shifter was actually pretty cool though.

Yes it is a GoPro. I have a mount that screws into the Tow Hook threads.

There is part of Sunday’s drive on my GoPro thread and the one before it comes over the mountain and goes by this exact location.

Everything about an LS swap makes sense. Easy to work on, small, doesn’t ruin the 50/50 distribution, cheap power. Oh and they sound freaking awesome.

It's not cheap at all when you consider the crazy retrofit pricing. It's a lot of custom fabrication from what I remember reading, and if you can't do it yourself, you may need to take a second mortgage. :)

nah, it's not that much fabrication - front subframe needs to be custom, but that's not a huge deal. i could design one. and the trans crossmember would need to be custom - but again, this is not anything crazy. custom driveshaft - i'd have to farm that out. and the tuning - that would be standalone engine management, for which nowadays i think is not that difficult.

an S54 swap would be way easier though. :) (a route i may go at some point.)

I honestly can't put my finger on it...other than the grey...and that sedan driving position/visibility....and the VMRs were dope too.

Probably a grass is greener type of thing. Red car is in much better shape, drives better, more powerful, etc. Just not gray, I guess.

Everyone on Instagram is doing it and it is fun to see what or who you would pair your car up with plus I’m a big Car enthusiast and a big Comic enthusiast so this was just too fun!

lovin' those E9x wheels on the Touring! how's the trans debacle?Hah! George is parked on the street with the Mazda gathering leaves. We just got the touring back a few weeks ago and I had forgotten how good that car looks. Makes me wanna find a zhp drivetrain and no...no...just no.

The poor guy at the transmission shop had the car for three months, over which he pulled and resealed the transmission three times. Ended up replacing the torque converter, pump, and casing (!) and, after all that, charged me just $400 for parts.

He's a top notch dude who will definitely be doing whatever work I can't/don't want to DIY in the future, like the clutch in the red car or bushings that need to be pressed.

Yep, it's her car. I'm just on the hook for keeping it working. I still need to get under it and check for leaks -- the guy put a dye in the ATF so that I can root around with a UV light and know for sure if it's coming from the transmission.

Merry Christmas to those that celebrate! Portland got a small unexpected snow/ice storm and it meant my car got the cold freeze treatment. We were planning to use my father's ZHP since he has snow tires but in the process of swapping tires in the RR, one of the lug nuts sheared off, and two were already shorn off. So we decided it not best to be driving about on two lug nuts. Two ZHP coupes frozen:

We figured out that they were the nuts that came with his wheels with snow tires, and not the factory nuts, which also explained why it was near impossible to remove them despite never torquing them more down than usual the last time we swapped tires.

Instead, we just used the resident snow car, a Volvo S40 T5 AWD 6MT with studs, and I've played taxi service/rally driver for friends and family around town the past two days. I've had a blast.

Here she is in all her glory (Volvo S40 T5 AWD 6MT) and studded winter tires. It has its own problems (small trunk, poor halogen headlights), but it handles most tasks admirably and I can't argue with its decent power (~225 hp and torque). It's a shame Volvo doesn't make a small sedan or wagon anymore. I wish my mother had jumped for the V50 because it's the same car with more utility, but she couldn't get past the looks. Oh well. It's a capable snow car that has never left us stranded on our numerous trips in the snow, and I've definitely had my fair share of making snownuts in it. It's AWD system is not quite as good as our old Audi C5 S4's 4WD system, but I digress.

The headlights problem is very easily solved. It has projectors already; just throw an HID kit in that sucker and call it a day! :)

H11 I believe. There's basically two options for improving headlights in the P1 platform:

a) Swap to an H9 bulb with greater light output
b) Switch to an HID kit which also requires this HKBOWE unit to prevent instrument cluster and other issues.

IMO Option (A) isn't really an option at all. Halogen blows no matter how you slice it.
