The previous owner put it on and supposedly shipped the trim from euro Z4 as it was not an option for USA. Also this is the original owners picture.

ECS actually has the trim for sale as of lately.

Holy carp that looks INCREDIBLE. I was gonna ask "how?" since I knew that the Maritime trim was never offered stateside. Also those seats aren't original - M-car seats don't have that extra seam you see in the bottom thigh bolsters. Also won't have the M logo embossed into the headrests. Who cares? They are still the same sport seat otherwise that the M cars got, and that color was also unobtainium stateside. It all looks incredible. HOLD ONTO THAT PUPPY, values are on the rise now, and rapidly!

My interior looks totally boring in comparison. Same cocomats in both cars though.

I wish they hadn’t made the face of the new calipers so flat (it’s the same shape as the M3/4/5’s CCBs). They look a lot better in the M2c’s silver, but the gold CCBs look like eBay caliper covers to me.

I never fixed them since buying them, and the curb rash on one got significantly worse after teaching someone to drive manual and them pulling into a parallel parking spot instead of backing in like a normal person...

But these wheels are so incredibly hard to find in a square 18x8.5" size, and they look so good... I want to refinish them when I finally have some money.

Installed my new OEM plate bracket, and the plate that a family member sent from Berlin.

Was never really a fan of the whole European plate thing on cars here in the states (especially German vanity plates drilled onto clapped out Japanese made vehicles). But when it’s done right using OEM parts, and an actual plate that doesn’t have some ridiculous letter/number format, I quite like the way that they look. Also cleaned up the hubs and put my wheel spacers back on.

Definitely don't let that experience paint a picture of paddle shifters for you. As a couple of folks have said, the Z is very outdated. Anything modern with a paddle shift, such as any BMW with the 8-speed auto, a car with double clutch, etc. will feel much better.

Tbh it wasn’t even the gearbox so much as it was the computer controlling it, but that’s also a reflection of its age. Unless I win the lotto I can’t ever imagine myself tracking anything with a DCT/newer flappy paddles so I’m not too worried about it.

MTrack days... I was able to drive M2, M3 and M4 (all dtc) on track at Monticello for $250. Your speed would be limited to the slowest person in the group but at least you’d get a taste of how they are to drive..

I'm running brotella 5w-40 right now and looking at pan baffles. The course had some long sweepers so I don't think there was any avoiding starvation. All 5 M54 cars out there sounded like diesels after a run.

LOL S4 was a regular sedan. And yes I guess it is an FD. My friend drove up with me in his FG Si. Got a tune, solid Al motor mounts and transmission. LOL. Who cannot have VTEC without intake that screams Fast N Furious. So much fun to drive. It’s quick in the city and makes you feel like you’re going 120mph even though you’re only at 40mph. When we traded cars for an hour I loved tunnel blasted the Civic. Pulling through all of third gear to 78mph and 8600 RPMs was just glorious!!!

Other friend parked in the background, the courtesy car 430i GranCoupe. She likes it for its performance and most importantly the economy she can get LOL. Her E46M 6MT is at the shop getting bulletproofed.

And that Audi guy has a 400+ WHP B8 S4 6MT but still thinks the M3 is King. Haha.

ECS can get bent. Mine is also for an E90, as I’ve come to find out, and fits like absolute shit. I also have the one that ends in 145, that's what actually came with my car from the PO. That one is def for the e90/f30. It fits incredibly well in the F32 rental I had. This one fits slightly better than the the e90 which is why I thought it was the right part but e46s just had crappy fits for the sunshade.

If it's the case that they have the wrong sticker on a part that means ECS has never sent me a correct part.

I think it fits pretty well. The flaps sides are right up to the pillars but I guess it could be slightly taller however it reaches the visors

Yea that’s pretty much how mine is. Not impressed, going to see if it fits the X3 or my dad’s E60, otherwise it’s going up for sale. I’m using the generic 2pc circular one I bought for my Mazda back in 2006 and it provides more windshield coverage.

So I got to use a friend’s car...Full ABC delete and tuned with 3” exhaust all the way. This thing is the tractor I have always wanted. LOL. It makes my E46M look like its learning how to walk while making the E90M feel like its tripping over its toes.

I think it’s up 100 WHP and just over 200 wheel ft-lbs over the E90M power band. I know it’s hard to compare NA vs turbo but holy **insert multiple censored descriptors here**. Anytime you throttle it, it sounds like a big rig with a slight grey haze out the back and a noticeable RWD squiggle as the diff attempts to keep the car in a straight line. We won’t even talk about launch control....

No clue. But screaming around town and using lots of torque thrust it’s running around 28MPG in the city/suburbs. [emoji23][emoji23] If our F10 535d gets 40MPG. Then a tuned 335d will get 45-50MPG I assume.

Lol I noticed that about the light alignment too—then I looked up pictures of real CSLs and their inner lights don’t line up perfectly either, just like Trevor’s.

I could go either way on the license plate area. I prefer it without the trunk handle, like authentic CSLs, but I’m so used to seeing E46s with the trunk handle it doesn’t bother me seeing it on reps.

I need to realign my trunk as it’s moved a bit from so much daily abuse. LOL

I don’t mind either style trunk. Everyone has a style they prefer. CSL is clean but I hate that they never made a hole to put the OEM trunk lid switch #BecauseWeightSavingsBro. [emoji23] I wish I could at least install some underneath motion activated switch to pop the trunk like my dad’s F10 trunk which needs no button to open.

My friend’s Messing Metallic still has the OEM handle so the switch is on that. For daily use that’s more convenient. Haha but I’ve gotten by. The price was right for mine as it was from a wrecked Estoril so I didn’t even need to paint it!

I bought m3 mirrors almost two years ago. I was planning to install them on my car, which was sold. Likely, I didn't have a chance to paint them. Know, I am thinking to installing them on my touring. Which will require painting.

Cars and Coffee today at the 603 Brewery in Londonderry NH. Lots of cars, sponsored by the Brewery and a local European Indy Shop, so I was surprised when there were only 3 BMW's, yet alone a ZHP..... You can see I got parked with a RatRod and 3 Land Rover Defender 90's!

The reflection of the yellow truck down the side of my car made wonder how it would look with flames........ :dunno

wow dude i would never even do any m3 conversion stuff to this car, it looks too perfect as is. the stance, color combo, how clean and shiny it is, just perfect. i like the orange reflectors they look awesome and add just the right amount of contrast to the car, either make them clear to match your corners and side markers/tails or shave/get euro bumper to get rid of them.

I finally parked the sedan and the wagon together for the first time, even though I've had the wagon for 8 months now. I was going to sell the sedan, but after driving it after it sat for 8 months, I kind of fell in love again. RIP my wallet.

I have to park at a very specific angle in the garage on Monday and Tuesday so I have space to roll the trash can past while still having room to get out of the car. I love the look of those long ass doors, and they make loading things into the car very easy, but proximity to other things is always top-of-mind awareness.
