That's what I ended up deciding. I just resigned myself to the fact that I'll be buying an oem pump every 60k.

The Stewart in theory is a good pump, I just couldn't find enough people who had put the kind of mileage on them that I needed to see to be convinced.

The lifetime warranty is great, but I'd still be unhappy if I was in Justin's shoes and was out $50 worth of coolant, a pulley, and my time.

    Droid X. Tapatalk. Use it.

I moved things around in the garage today so I could park in there for the winter. Cleaning off snow at 6am was getting old.

    Guys,
Unfortunately I think I was the cause of my own demise. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it because of the gains and efficiency of the pump. When I first discovered I had a leak, I noticed that my Water Pump Pulley had two of the four screws that were just kinda...there...not torqued down. The imbalance caused the internal seals to wear out at a very rapid pace. I wasn't suspecting this when I attempted the repair over Thanksgiving. The pump hasn't seized, so it's not a bearing issue. And there isn't any chance of catastrophic failure.

Ahhh. I still find it interesting that the guy in the other thread had to have two replaced for a similar issue.

Either way, I'm glad you've got it figured out. I know it's frustrating as hell chasing gremlins.

Btw-- did you ever get an explanation on using the M6 bolt holes?

I have it if you need it as I used them last time around.

Believe you, me, I've tried to talk mom into letting me build an e30 because I don't want to spend anymore money than I have to. She's driven it and knows that the subframe bushings are all worn and the suspension needs replaced. It's a 13 year old car, but the mileage is only 116k...

It's where I'm at now with my 2005. lol
    About to hit 117k.

Today, I adjusted the driver's side headlight to be a bit higher. Adjusted them a little too low after the projector swap and didn't get 'round to it until today.

Thanks to aurelius who taught me how to change motor/diff/tranny oils today. Much appreciated.
