Are they aftermarket or BMW Performance grills?
You could put a touch of super glue there, you could wrap the tab in gorilla tape (removable and black), so that it holds tighter or you could stick some 3M exterior mounting tape over the tab.

when replacing the grills, i struggled getting the stock chrome ones out. i broke tabs on both of them if i recall.
the DIYs on the web made it look so easy...haha
