Yeah, I am going to try to get the car BAR certified, I want everything to be CA smog legal. It will be difficult, but I think it can be done. Hopefully.

That E21 looks like so much fun to drive. I think I am going to ask this nice gentleman around the corner if he wants to sell his, I have only seen him drive it once. It's black on tan, 5 speed, all original, and it even has the nice BBS wheels on it!
Thanks bud! Honestly, Samba Millenium's are some of the best driving shoes ever.

If you need help with the swap let me know, I'm just a plane ride away. My sister goes to Cal so I can always just blame my trip on her

As for that E21, send me some pics. They might be slow, but are fun to drive and get great gas milage (I can get 35+ if I keep it under 70). Sounds like that one might be a real 320is. It should have the same steering wheel I posted, 13x5.5 BBS', A REAR SWAY BAR (the easiest way to tell a real one, but it's possible that was added later), on the top passenger side of the diff neck there should be an imprinted huge S (it should also be on the diff tag, assuming its still there), and Recaro seats. I personally consider the 320is the first version of M-Tech cars, its basically just a factory upgraded 320 in same way how a ZHP is an upgraded 330. Difference is at the time there were no ///M cars, so that was the best US 3er (323i was a better car but wouldn't pass smog so only available in Grey Market). Definitely check it out and keep me updated.

Yeah, it has those wheels. It has sheepskin's on the front seats so I can't tell if they are Recaros.. I'll check the steering wheel next time I walk by, and I will get some pictures of it too.

I will probably take you up on some help when I start prepping my car on the V8 swap. Thanks!

I washed the ///M for the first time today with Turtle Wax's No Rinse Wash solution. (Basically a cheaper Optimum No Rinse) All I can say is wow!! Where has this sh!t been my whole car driving life?!? It's perfect for detailing in between washes and for cleaning up bird dirt. It'll come in handy now that pollen season is back. I wiped my front windshield and this is what my blue microfiber looked like...

    2003 ///M3 6spd Jet Black/Cinnamon (I loan valve adjustment tools! PM me...)

    (I didn't)

Oh, also! My red plasti-dip came in today. Gonna spray my AFe dynamic intake scoop that goes behind the front kidney grills. Pics will be posted later.

Stuart, PM terra. I'm sure he'd be able to guide you through removing the tamper dot. (his username is at the top of this page... or at least in my browser it is)

Removed both struts in 45 minutes. Kpro is going to get the mechanics to swap the Konis for the Bilstiens at her Acura dealer tomorrow while I'm at work then I'll install the new ones. Hopefully my new LCABs will be here tomorrow. My last set of Meyles didn't last very long

Spent the weekend under the hood of the ZHP. I replaced the oil filter housing gasket and CCV valve/hoses, then I cleaned the idle control valve and rebuilt the DISA with the GAS rebuild kit. I definitely do not ever want to do the CCV valve job again. The GAS DISA rebuild kit and their DIY are excellent if anyone is thinking about going that route.

I thought Germans were big people, there were a bunch of places that my hands simply would not fit. I had to get Mrs. ICTZHP to remove and install some of the air intake hose clamps for me. Happy Mother's Day to her!!! It was quite satisfying to start the car up and back out of the garage after all of the work that had been done.
