I'm sure you are careful to put a towel or something under the seat. My PO did not and I have a few rubbed marks.
Oh, and I changed a diaper on the hood of the car. She kept sliding down, must mean my wax job is still pretty good.
    Nice. Paybe use the trunk??

Mountain run today. Big group. Lots of fun. I really love the new suspension tire setup.

This. Cali cars tend to have good interiors and rust free exteriors.

When my uncle was over from England, he was amazed at how clean everybody's car in CA was haha.

Yeah, I can understand the rust thing, but if you really want a clean, no rust car, go to Arizona... We bought a '65 Mustang back in the day from there, it had ZERO rust... Even after 25 years...

And to be honest, I used to think CA had insanely clean cars, but I think Florida keeps their cars cleaner. Not to mention, Florida seems to have a lot more disposable income, a lot of ridiculously expensive cars here, driven every day...

I saw a brand new Bentley at Home Depot... And a few days later, I saw an F10 M5 (highly modded) at the same Home Depot...

Looks like a Marlow (brand) vessel. They build some BEAUTIFUL yachts.

Hope you had some decent wind out there!

Yeah it was to far away to get a decent look. A nice Viking and a few other large trawlers passed us as well.

Dude Tetris is unmatched in being the most direct video-game-to-real-life application.

I met up with a few Boston BMW CCA members and Chad as well. Brought some burgers to cook on the grill and we purchase some pizza as well. I finally did a transmission and differential fluid change. Also I had change to the BMW performance short shifter. Really made a difference with the distance of travel on the shifts. I have never done it before however it was really easy with some help of experience friends. Just a note that the BMW short shifter doesn't require washers on the side. It is now integrated into the shifter.

Chad on the other hand just completed a oil filter housing gasket along with replacing the oil separator since winter is coming. It was a good 5-6 hour job however it's a nice thing to do before the winter freezes up the pipes. My third time doing this job and I pretty much memorized every single bolt/nut that belongs to each part. I never wish to do it again!

Thanks, my schedule is so busy that I may have to live with them through the winter.

I would rather have a door ding than a deep paint scratch any day.
Some of them include paint damage, hoping PDR plus some touch up paint can get me by for a few years until I can have the entire car repainted.

Thanks, I had a bit of a melt down about it, but I'm better now. I'm in the "acceptance" phase, lol.

Does anyone else use these cool tire hangers from Reverse Logic? They sure make the job a lot easier.

The finished product. Somebody was asking for pics of these wheels mounted after I posted a post cleaning pic of them a few weeks back. They're not bad, but I miss my 135M's already.

Still need to clean the chalk marks off!
Those look pretty good actually for winter. We've all seen worse! As for the hangars, I have a pair of hangars that I think were a BMW accessory. I don't exactly recall where I got them actually (owned the car too long). I don't use them with my VMR's though, just with my OEM's and/or doughnut spare.

This is one reason why I don't get why people advertise "California car" and people get all excited. Personally, I don't want a CA car anymore... Typically they're abused...

As I said above, I'm in the "acceptance" phase, thanks for the backup, but I'm not going to regress into the "anger" phase, lol.

I know what you mean about tetris, for the past few years I have had a tub of "extra" parts in the back of my car. I decided yesterday NO MORE! But yes, we have played tetris a few times when we have out in the ZHP and decided to randomly stop somewhere for some heavy (or even light) shopping. The car gets small real quick!

    --------------

Today/tonight I attempted to clay the car. I don't think I got the hang of it until I got to the hood (after doing the trunk, rear bumper and roof). I think I was putting too much lubricant down, the clay didn't really shrink in size like I've seen people talk about online. I then followed with a coat of cleaner wax and a final coat of wax. I don't think I'll be going back to re-do the work I've already done; I'll just take the experience forward to finish the car (tomorrow and tuesday) and remember next time when I do those panels again.
