Halogens do not have the auto leveling.

I didn't want to do a retrofit because I heard there's computer issues with the DME thinking there's problems.

I'm going to do what MiniD said and get better bulbs and clean lenses. That should help a lot.

Just gotta check off halogens and check xenons on the car with BMW Scanner. There's always a guy in the area advertising coding services, or buy one - they're $25 on ebay.

Reprogramming the car to have Xenons will be good. Just have to make sure you either put in the auto-leveling or disable it in the coding too.

Does anyone know the part number for the plastic cover that is inside the door that covers access to the screw that allows you to remove the outer door lock?

A lot of times you hear about people bore and stroking their engines to gain power. Why is this never the case on an M54? I don't think I've heard anybody doing that much.

I don't know much about engine internals

Probably $$? I'm not sure of the exact costs, but it seems once you get through the cost of machining and new parts, may as well have done the s54 swap and open a whole new door of potential power for the same coin.

Another thing is high rev is severely limited with hydraulic lifters. M54 can't rev that high but we don't need to do valve adjustments constantly.
