So as Charlie had posted it before today was a lot of stuff done to the "Wulf". He did end up biting Charlie on the hand though. Bad boy....
Yet he still got a treat. Just passed 130k miles. So not too bad. Still a baby and my maintenance is up to date.
I sourced out a great deal on a performance strut bar and a VIS CSL trunk. Of course the trunk was already painted red and if I were to put the trunk on my car I would also have to get mirrors and everything. So since it was red and Charlie always love CF I thought it was the right move there.
So on my way to Charlie's I post this photo to a few people and they weren't able to figure out what Charlie was getting. :P
To the install - Previous instructions -
Well I don't have a great DIY since it's all in the above post but here are some great photos of Charlie doing work.
Cutting up the battery terminal and removing a lot of the plastic.
Hammering the remaining terminal to fold over the plastic.
Followed by electrical tape glue to prevent the expose end to interfere with the body of the car.
Reattached and set in backwards.
Drilling through the plastic so that the positive electrical cord can connect to the battery end.
Put back together and push the cord through.
All put back together and done.
As I was leaving Charlie's I decided to connect the sprintbooster which I purchased a while back. When I was inquiring about the sprintbooster and half asleep purchasing it; it was actually a sprintbooster for a X5. The stickers however on the sprintbooster itself suggested e46 setup though. After some conversation with sprintbooster they stated that it was for a X5 eurospec. This was bought about 6 months ago and just today I decided to connect it. Well it sure feels like it works totally fine. No errors overall. Just a pulsing green faint light when the controls is set to off. I'll have to do some research to see if it will cause any errors to the car. Drove all the way back home and it felt fine. I think I even got better mileage.
Once I got home I decided to also replace my LCM faceplate with the Euro faceplate to code up rear fogs. Today was the day that push me over the edge as people started tailgating me. In addition to that I am putting a armrest delete center console since I never use it and moving some wires around for the eonon unit to access the ipod and other devices I have. Also got a bunch more parts on order and considering doing a AL bowl swap as well. Just trying to source something out now.
LCMs
Clean, winter setup (rims were already painted when I bought them), removed front plate to go through the car wash. USMillWorks with quick disconnect.
Very great day overall and got a lot done![]()
