    This idea is making me itchy. I realize that in the photo is an E36. But I've seen it done on E46. Maybe I should find a cheap E36 to drop it in. Wheels turning in my head

    Weights of both motors are probably fairly close, but I'm curious to know how an LS e46 would handle

    Weight should not be an issue. They are very comparable. The LS series are all aluminum. Only steel in it is the crank. The T56 trans is also very light. Only know this from my 01 T/A days

    Yeah I'm well aware. I'd imagine you could stay fairly close to 50/50, but I'm curious to know how it actually feels, not just going by #'s

    It doesn't matter because you have plenty of power on tap to correct any oversteer you may get. Just tap your right foot down and you go from understeer to oversteer, provided you're not going into a corner the wrong way.
