I love the 330d shifter (aka BMW Performance SSK) but it's a very mild upgrade indeed.
FYI you'll need to replace part #25117580281 to fix the slop, whether you install an OEM or aftermarket SSK (or none at all)

I had the Rogue Engineering, and it too, is a mild upgrade. I've heard auto solutions is the way to go.

I had an autosolutions lever on my ZHP. The funny thing is it was a 5-speed version which the owner thought wouldn't work. It set all my shifting points further back which was great for my short arms. So neutral is like setting OEM into 4th. Just have to watch the thumb getting pinched in a 2,4,6 shift if you are the one to hold your knob. LOL
