Well, I decided to give up on K-Jet
E30 M10B18 L-Jetronic, from 84-85 318i
I am also going to modify the engine before I install: 2012cc, 284 Schrick, 9.5:1, Volvo MAF and ECU, M50 injectors
It's not pretty, but I've seen worse
I love how all of these parts from different manufacturers work together.

Yeah, but Volvo is the only other company that really works since they also ran Bosch fuel injection with a 4cyl.
The MAF and ECU came from a 1987 740 GLE (8v head), but I theoretically can get the stuff from a 16v car if I wanted to use a S14 head, or I can get the stuff from a 740 Turbo if I wanted to go FI.
I'll just stay with the low key, yet more efficient setup that I am planning. If only I could find a 1975 320 that I can go crazy on![]()
Found a 318 at the junkyard... engine harness, fuel rail, and some assorted crap (not pictured) = $20

E30 318is late model?
No. 84-85 318i. M4x requires quite a bit of work, and I would need approval for the swap. If I'm gonna do that much work I'll wait until I get around to the Z3 M52 swap.
If I wanted a 16v I would rather do this:
...but I don't want to deal with the rebuild costs.
My M10B18 2.0 will have more than enough performance (prob nearly the same as a stock M42) until I buy a Z3 donor and mess around with that engine
