The part that usually wears out and causes slop is the rubber bushing for the connection between the selector rod and the rod joint, the pin just locks it in place:

He's talking about part #10 which your kit replaces with something undoubtedly harder and longer lasting.

If it was me, in addition to your kit, I'd replace both #2's, #5, and the pin #15. That covers all the reported sources of slop.

Similar. The ZHP carrier is forked in the front and uses 2x 25-11-7-519-670

Hmm, I thought that's where the 695 went. Do I need them and the 670 or is it instead of the 695?

The E46 used two different carriers. RealOEM show this one for up to 06/2003 and is the one in the DIY on Pelican
