LOL. nope, but maybe your suspension is broke?

well, you'd see different handling characteristics because of that (likely less understeer, but turn-in might feel crappy due to squishy sidewalls), but that wouldn't affect actual suspension reaction time.

Gotcha. It'll be different this winter...I went from the shitty runflats to the Blizzaks and was relieved to be on them. Going from the SS's to them will be more of a hit in the handling department. But... LSD + Blizzaks + Snow = Happy Dan.

i hear ya! i've got der Super Sports on as well, and will have LSD + x-ice3's on this year. plus reinforced subframe (well, floor cavity, not subframe) and new bushings throughout... yeah, it will be fun.

I drove my friends ///M3 with his auto cross setup. 17" ARC8 and grippy rubber. On the public streets compared to my 19" OEM wheels I only felt that his car picked up speed and slowed down a tad faster but it wasn't a "God" moment. Driving my friend's older '01 E46 ///M with possibly old VANOS seals made a bigger difference compared to my car since his felt really sluggish on the low end. LOL.

    Oh and a daily pic:

Huh, weird, BP. I definitely noticed the difference in my father's Miata. It feels much more planted now, especially over uneven surfaces and he hasn't changed any other suspension components. It also helped in my buddy's Mini a bit, although I haven't driven that car that much so I can't speak from too much experience there. Either way it can't hurt to shed unsprung weight.

    Precisely!

I don't think the mass saved from lighter wheels will improve the straight-line speed much. It might feel a little more "reactive" due to lower rotational mass, but I always assumed it was negligible unless the wheels you were coming from were made of lead or something.

Anyways, that should be enough input from both sides for San to decide on wheels!
