I got them up another $600 today when they allowed the car to be in "very good" condition for the various components. Now at $9100. One last hope in the next few days when the get another read on what the ZHP "comps" really are (right now they allow $400 for it).

Point them toward that new EAG ad, albeit with a lot less miles maybe it'll scare them into settling closer to what you want.

Meyle makes garbage bushings. At one point they were good, but now, the turd in the toilet does a better job.

I had Meyle HD control arms AND bushings in at one point... Both CABs were busted and a ball joint on one of the control arms was trashed after not even 30k miles.

Washed the car for the first time since pulling it out of storage, promptly put it back in the garage under the car cover.

Hmm, I was having a hard time whether to go Meyle or Lemforder for the control arms. Glad I went and spent the extra $100 for lemforder. Going to be running Z4M bushings too

What did you do for your ZHP/ BMW / MINI today? #2

Left her on the side of the interstate. Cooling system grenaded.... Low coolant light came on...pulled out my OBDii reader and coolant was at 105...by the time I got to a safe spot to stop it hit 120! Engine was off...checked under the hood and looks to be either the upper radiator hose or expansion tank took a . Luckily my dad was 10 min behind me to give me a ride to work. Getting her towed home where I will further evaluate the source. It all happened so quick. Just refreshed cooling system less than 30k ago. Sigh...I know it's a 11 year old car and these things happen, but feeling deflated this morning...as well as my wife expressing her question of the cars overall reliability...

+1. My wife also does the same to me. She keeps on hounding me on why I continue to purchase and work on old cars.......

That's got to be something else. My 330 ET blew up once long ago, but I was still able to limp my car home without temps even going up from normal. I even lost HVAC heat half way through the ordeal which is when I really watched for engine temps since the coolant level was below the thermostat.
