LOL @ the muffler falling off
Fun fact:
I cracked my rim during a Thunderhill 5-mile HDPE back in May. I emailed Apex Race Parts yesterday about getting a replacement rim and if I could possibly get discount. I was hoping my pics of my car on their site would help, haha.
Customer service replied with an awesome preposition:
TLDR; ApexRaceparts has a 50% Discount on a new rim if you exchange the damage rim.Dec 14, 11:58 MST
Hi Derek,
After doing some digging, I was able to find your previous order. An option that we would like to offer you would be to take advantage of our 50% replacement program. This unofficial program is still being molded overtime, but in order to go above and beyond for our customers, we have offered replacement wheels at 50% off of MSRP, in exchange for the damaged wheels in return. Instead of spending dollars on trying to fix/repair damaged wheels, and not really knowing what the long term effects may be, this replacement program allows us to quality control damaged wheels while providing our customers with a cost effective alternative.
There are two ways we can move forward with this program:
1. You bring the damaged wheel back to us, and we sell you a replacement for 50% off MSRP.
2. We sell you a new wheel for full MSRP, and once we receive the damaged wheel, we will credit you back 50% of the MSRP.
Please let me know which option you would like to take advantage of.
I'm not 100% sure if this requires the rim to be purchased directly from Apex or not but I sure as hell am happy about it. It is not official on their site but CS Rep mentioned that if you contact them about replacing a damaged rim, they will offer this solution. I think they need to broadcast this more!!
I selected option 2 and the rim should arrive tomorrow. (I'm about 60 miles away from their warehouse but I don't want to drive in traffic to pick it up)
I'm ordering 245/40/17 Michelin Pilot Super Sports for the Apexs. I'm don't go to the track as often as I used to so PSS will be a nice set for the street.
