i personally don't like the thought of eating in the car, but it must be done sometimes - life is too crazy [for me] sometimes that it cannot be avoided... at least, not without pissing off my family.

one of my wife's favorite things about road trips is eating pizza in the car. don't ask me why, but she loves it. drives me bananas, but i love her way more than i hate the idea of eating pizza in the car.
