Took the GSW to the dealer for the free 30 day check-up. Got lots of compliments from the service advisors.

I'm at 60 days of ownership (20 of which I was out of the country) and I'm at 4,358 miles. I really like my car. LOL

Called a local detail shop today about bringing my ZHP in tomorrow, said it'd be $175 for the whole thing, does that sound right? I almost figured it would be more expensive. I've seen the work that they've done on my dad's CLS 500 and that came out pretty great on black paint, but I don't think I really got a good look at it and that was a year ago.
I've been advised from my brother not to take it to the BMW dealership because the service they do offer doesn't include paint correction and that they don't really pay attention to the cleanliness of their wash tools...

It's probably a wash, single pass polish & hopefully a wax or sealant & interior vacuum. $175 doesn't get you much here in the Washington DC area - perhaps your pricing there is better!

Glad you like it. Both my boys are in GTIs (MK6) and I've found myself looking at Golf TDIs, Rs, and TDI Wagons lately.

If you value utility, don't look for anything but a GSW/JSW. I've seen a couple JSW TDIs in MD and they look pretty slick.

My wife thinks she's more of a hatchback chic than wagon-ista. I need to drive one.

Hit the dealerships. They're ordering a lot of 4mo GSWs!

Ah probably, as long as there's some sort of polishing I'm happy, there wasn't anything deep
