I never knew there was a Ballast relocation kit. Is that the official name? Happen to have a pn?

No p/n but it should be sourced from Real OEM under lighting.

I think it’s this. I arbitrarily put a random production date in (05/2004 I think), but I’m not sure if it changed somewhere in the production run.

That's it! Ballast screws to the plate and it mounts to the post on the strut tower and the top bolt on the intake bracket.

Just need pigtail extensions between the ballasts and ignitors and I think you’d be in business.

You will want to make sure the cover has the two holes for the bixenon functionality. You can also get the rubber boots for the plugs to complete the factory look.

Suspension design between e36 and e46 is very very similar. Pretty sure rear suspension is nearly identical. Front geometry is pretty similar.

Do the m5x engines all share the same block?

I'm pretty sure the front arm rests are the same. Very important.

From reading online. The face lift sedans xenon headlight housing is tricky mmm something about once you remove the ballast. There is a huge.hole on the bottom of the housing that needs to be filled in.

Someone I talked to said they had to get a NON xenon housing and swap their xenon guts and projector into it.

I guess I'll just have to take mine apart to see since I'm probably not going to find anyone with a face lift sedans that has pictures online from doing this.
