Update on TW ceramic spray after a decent rain today, nice beading and car dried off completely with no watermarks after 20mins. One layer allowed to cure overnight and not exposed to water for two days

Finally getting around to the E46 OPG. At 206,000 miles, it was due. The Corona Virus shutdown has allowed for the perfect opportunity to get these things done that would never have time in the normal working weeks. I did the OPG on the X5 a couple of weeks ago along with a transmission service on the GM 5L40-E.

No Fear
This is my current passenger side headlight assembly. Some dipshit drilled a big hole to route angel eye wiring out instead of doing it right so I had to come up with a creative way to plug this hole until I could source a new headlight assembly to replace this one. All I need to do now is swap out the insides from one headlight assembly to another.
I have rebuilt enough E46 headlight assemblies I could do this blindfolded...
The new ones are intact so I have something to do which will finish off the passenger side headlights.

I did something similar. Scored a set of facelift coupe headlights for $80 CAD. They're in a bit of a rough shape, but the important part is that the passenger's lense was not cracked. I plan on refinishing the lense, then swapping it with mine (which has a small crack)
Looks clean in there. I need to order an N52 OPG for my dad’s E60. Nicest Father’s Day present I’ll probably ever do for him.
If you can actually figure out how to take out the innards of a facelift coupe headlight once baked open please document it and let me know. I’ve done lens swaps and full retrofits on multiple other cars (including a newer BMW with adaptive lenses) and I could not for the life of me get that housing disassembled far enough to install my ZKW-R clear lenses on the projectors. I’ve searched high and low for any kind of guide, found nothing, and I’m not baking those bastards open again until I have a definitive answer on getting them apart.
